Does anyone know of someone who is well versed in gas fireplaces and trustworthy? Mine is not working and not a big heat producer. Looking for advice on options to upgrade. Thanks!

I got mine from Suburban Propane. Callahan's sells them and so should any gas company. They are the ones that usually need to install them since they need to tie into your tank. If you already have a gas company, call them. The insert is still the same and they sell them by BTU's, but there is an endless selection of mantles and trim packages to surround them. Mine is ventless which worried me but I have had no issues. I don't burn it on high heat for long periods of time and it is a great supplement to the heat pump

While we are at it.... what is better? A Pellet stove *not sure what this is*; Wood burning stove or gas fireplace...
We are thinking of upgrading to help cut down on the oil usage during the winter.....

Replace it with a pellet stove. We were going through 120 gallon bottle in about 3 weeks with our gas fireplace. We bought from Billy’s, I know he is not the cheapest guy in town but he had what we wanted. We had Paul Gessert do the replacement. I’ll try to dig up a few photos for you.

How much does a propane tank (120 gallon?) setup cost to install? I'd love to have gas in the house for cooking and things like the fireplace.

Too many options Above ground or buried? Lease or own the tank? Call around we found AmeriGas had the best deal. We still have a PepUp tank buried in your yard that we no longer use since we went the pellet stove route. Call around and don’t forget AmeriGas up in Elkton.
