Hello all:
I always start here first! Can anyone suggest a chimney sweep/ place that installs/sells inserts for fireplaces?
Thanks!

Go the kent island forum (the first one) then go to page 8 and you will see a few ideas for inserts of fireplaces

For the sweep, you could always build a big, hot pine fire and it will burn it nice and clean, but might want to call fire dept first.
Just kidding, dont do this and find a recommended sweep company.

Sorry Shadow, dont have wood fireplace so not sure who you could use. I know Backyard Billy's sells inserts, but sure you already know they are very expensive. Are you thinking woodstove or pellet stove? Neighbor has pellet stove and it works great.
I have gotten free advice for my gas logs from Callahans and they were very friendly. I'm pretty sure they do wood, gas, and pellet stove sales and installs too. Sure they would recommend a chimney sweep as well or do it.
