Just remember, Congress has mandated that 40% of all corn goes to ethanol production. Not to worry that it costs the Subjects more money for not only gas but food and virtually every other consumer product on the shelf. But it's all good, we the electorate are too stupid to know better.

No worries everybody...Just In!! This week $10 million given to Romney's campaign from the oil and gas industries. In another and non related move...part of his "new" energy plan also introduced this week. If elected he will now allow all Federal land to be opened for drilling. By proposing to end a century of federal control over oil and gas drilling and coal mining on government lands, Mitt Romney is making a bid for anti-Washington voters in key Western states while dangling the promise of a big reward to major campaign supporters from the energy industry. An individual close to the Romney campaign said that Mr. Romney’s staff drafted the proposal in consultation with industry executives, including Harold Hamm, an Oklahoma billionaire who is the chairman of the campaign’s energy advisory committee and chief executive of Continental Resources, an oil and gas driller. The Romney aide, who said she was not authorized to speak on the record about the plan, said that any consultation with industry officials was simply to tap their expertise and did not mean the proposal was being shaped to serve their interests. www.nytimes.com/2012/08/24/us/romney-would-give-reins-to-states-on-drilling-on-federal-lands.html?_r=2&hpDid you also know his new plan says we will be energy independent by 2020? Wow! In 7 years we will no longer have to rely on foreign production for our energy needs! This is great news! It doesn't matter that we own less then 3% of the recoverable oil reserves and consume more then 20% of the worlds supply yearly. He's got it figured out. It's no longer even a hidden anymore. The guys who have the money are stealing our democracy. Not to mention our lands. I'm not talking about ANWR. Lets drill in Yellowstone. Natural gas found near the Grand Canyon? Drill there too! takingnote.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/08/24/romneys-energy-plan/

And the problem is Grova? Somebody has to do something to try and get energy prices under control. Energy is the Achilles heel in our economy. Energy (primarily gas and diesel prices) is what killed the economy in the first place and continues to squash any rebuild of consumer confidence when people ride up and down the road each day and watch the changing prices at every street corner. Why buy a new car with a 5 or 7 year loan when you don't know if you will be able to afford gas next month let alone in 5 years. Why buy a new house? Might not be able to pay the electric bill. How about a nice steak dinner? Not since beef prices have gone through the roof because of the price of corn to fatten them up. We really need that corn for ethanol you know.. I think anybody, Romney included, who is willing to look at all sources of fossil and alternative energy is right. Feeding the speculators and nations who hate us with mandates to not develop our own energy sources is stupid and anti-American. Just my opinion. Can I have one?

Feeding the speculators and nations who hate us with mandates to not develop our own energy sources is stupid and anti-American. Just my opinion. Can I have one? I completely agree affordable energy is one of our major concerns for the country. They definitely were not the main reason our economy went into a recession though. The reason food prices are soaring now is from the drought. I do believe we should cut back on the ethanol production which causes a large amount of corn to be used for fuel. Which in turn raises feed prices. The idea it self was to help with our fuel concerns but I don't think really has a place now. The problem is Romney doesn't want to look at all the possibilities. He wants to keep the $40 Billion a year in oil subsidies while cancelling tax credits for green energy. Shawn McCoy, a spokesman for Romney's Iowa campaign, told the Des Moines Register earlier this week that Romney would "allow the wind credit to expire, end the stimulus boondoggles, and create a level playing field on which all sources of energy can compete on their merits". However, green groups, renewable energy industry insiders, and Democrats were all quick to point out that Romney's desire for a level playing field on energy policy does not extend to oil and gas, where he has pledged to retain up to $40bn of subsidies and tax breaks that President Obama wants to see phased out. www.guardian.co.uk/environment/2012/aug/02/mitt-romney-end-us-wind-subsidiesJust my opinion...hope I can have one as well.

2013 gasoline prices could hit record highs Yes This is a obama approved news site. After sending consumers into sticker shock the past month, how much more can gasoline prices climb? Another 20 to 50 cents a gallon — a level that could propel the cost of gasoline, now $3.75 a gallon, to all-time highs, some experts say. Gasoline prices typically climb from February to Memorial Day on expectations of rising consumption and costlier summer-blend gas. But so far this year, prices are surging sooner and faster than ever before — up 45 cents since mid-January. 24/7 WALL ST.: States with the highest gas prices Consumers in some metropolitan areas, such as Southern California, are already paying nearly $5.20 a gallon, up more than 75 cents since December lows. "The gas petro-noia season moved up this year,'' says analyst Tom Kloza of the Oil Price Information Service. "A lot of speculators bet on higher prices beginning earlier in the year." Kloza and other longtime industry observers are sticking to forecasts that prices will peak at about $3.95 by early April. But others say prices will eclipse July 2008's record $4.11. "Lots of people are panicking, but there is room to go higher,'' says Atlas Commodities oil broker Carl Larry, who expects $4.10 to $4.25 a gallon gasoline. I just went to Food Lion and a twelve pack of Charmin was .45 higher then last month! Now if I get gas too much I am going to be wiped out! Oh to be back in the olde days when a Sears Catalog sufficed until they switched to glossy paper.
THANK YOU BARRY SEOTORO
