I've used Cal Pools in Stevensville the last 5 years and they have been great. Did my new filter and pump a few years ago and couldn't be happier with their service.

Cal Pools or Bay area pools we have used them both and they are both good. Don't use Aqua pools very expensive not worth it

I hired another local pool company to open our pool. We bought the home late last fall, and this is our first time owning a pool. The prior owner had neglected a lot on the property, and I explained this to the pool company, asking that they check everything over very well. I paid something along the lines of $300 to open the pool on May 8 and still can't use it (along with a new salwater chlorinator and various supplies I've already paid them $2,000 ... I kept up my end of the bargain promptly). Apparently, $300 to open the pool means that they take the cover off and fold it up nicely. They did not look over the sytem, no chemicals have been balanced, the pool remains filthy. I've chased them for help, and eventually they discovered and replaced a broken filter insert and a broken basket and added a little chlorine, but they still have not even vacuumed our pool. The pump has been running around-the-clock for three weeks now (that should be a fun electric bill) and they advise me to dump pounds and pounds of filter cleaner in the pool, but we still can't use our pool and the system still isn't working correctly. Somehow, they seem to think that running the pump non-stop will clean a very dirty pool? And apparently checking and balancing chemicals is not part of opening a pool? It's an in-ground pool (liner style) and I'm at the end of my rope (and feeling ripped off) -- looking for a really good recommendation for a local pool service company that can actually help us. Thanks.

Its not hard to open a pool...or close it... We used Grand Pools in Easton to put the liner in....they were very good. But other than that...my husband does it all.

Anchor Aquatics in Edgewater! They are (in my opinion) #1!
410-956-0744 - Ask for Lee Jenkins or Joe Ruddle. Tell them Beth who used to have a "Desert Aire" referred you.
I will put in a good word for Cal Pools as well, but in your case I would highly recommend Anchor to get started. They will spend all the time you need to educate you about opening and maintaining your pool, they are incredibly responsive and one of the best service companies (of any kind) I have EVER had the pleasure of dealing with!
Good Luck...having a pool should be a great joy.

Just to follow-up, I reached out to a handful of the pool companies recommended on this forum (thanks to everyone), and ended up with with "Pool Man" Mike Goslin (443-496-1509). He was extremely responsive, very cooperative and informative, and truly helpful. Our problems -- including things we were told would require literally thousands of dollars to address in the future -- were addressed affordably and promptly. Bad advice was corrected, countless oversights were addressed, and our pool is now clean, healthy and open for fun. I can't recommend him more!

Cal Pools. They came everyday till my swamp pool was clear! He fixed all the broken things (valves) and still came in cheaper than Sparkle. Friendly and dependable! (plus competitive)

Quality is most important thing in buying pool supplies from anywhere. The swimming pool accessories add functions to the swimming pool and make it more comfortable for the swimmers. Me and my wife also looking forward to buy pool grotto works as a position to get away from the sun or just as a hideaway designed into the pool. I read out interesting and informative ideas. This will be helpful in this regard...thanks everyone... Wide Range of Oval Pools | Above Ground Pools
