I read about a new music place created by local musicians that is located above "B.F. Bigguns" on West Street (the old "Crab Cake Factory"). It's a place that hold 150 people and has live local music nightly. Has anyone been there yet? I'm curious about the crowd and what the bar is like. For a big nightlife, Annapolis doesn't have a lot of large venues for live music, just small bars with a band shoved in a corner.

It's still in it's infancy, but if it gets enough support, upper West Street can finally take off! I think that when the new condos at the circle fill up, every place along this once desolate part of West Street will be a gold mine.

How is "B.F. Bigguns" anyway? Is it the same as the last few places that have been there aor is it something different?

The name of the venue is "The Whiskey 1803" and if you want to see local bands perform live you can't go wrong. Drinks are reasonably priced ($3 domestic bottles) and the security runs a pretty tight ship (nothing worse than obnoxious drunks at a show). The best part is that the venue is no smoking. What a difference compared to the smoke stacks called bars on KI!
