Look at P.G. and now Charles County. A.A. County is next and the floodgates are wide open! Apply zero tolorance to thugs and they won't want to come here! This is from WJZ:Anne Arundel Co. Murders Up In 2006 Mike HellgrenReporting(WJZ) Anne Arundel County, MD Murders went up more than 60 percent in Anne Arundel County in 2006, including a record setting number of homicides in Annapolis.WJZ's Mike Hellgren interviewed police and community leaders about the increase that has some wondering if the county is in the midst of a crisis.County Police Lieutenant David Waltemeyer said the drastic increase is not cause for alarm."We know that we're not having random homicides in the county," said Waltemeyer. "We don't like to see our homicide numbers go up, but you have to look at each individual case by itself." Police also said no one area of the county underwent a murder spree.Excluding Annapolis, Anne Arundel County had 18 murders in 2006, 12 in 2005 and 13 in 2004.Annapolis, a city which has a separate police force, recorded an all-time high of eight murders.Other high profile violence including shootings at the Annapolis mall last November, have been a cause for major concern. In addition to Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City and Harford County have also seen an increase in murders.
