Seems the Town Manager has stepped on his wee-wee big time. Locked up for DUI, while driving the car assigned to him by the Town and refused to take breath test. After numerous citizen complaints of his actions to the council, is now the time they finally get rid of this clown and bring someone with ethics and the know how, to deal with citizens?

From: www.maryland-defense-lawyer.com/MdDUILicenseLoss.htmLoss Of License From DUI/DWI & Restricted License The Motor Vehicle Administration of Maryland (MVA) has authority over driving privileges in the state. If you took a test with a result of .08 or greater or refused to take the breathalyzer test, you are entitled to a hearing at the MVA, during which the Administrative Law Judge decides whether the MVA’s proposed suspension is appropriate. However, in order to get this hearing, it must be requested. If you are arrested and ticketed for DUI/DWI, then your license is taken by the law enforcement officer, on the spot. In place of your regular driver's license, you are given a 45-day temporary license. During this 45-day period, you may operate a motor vehicle as if you still had a permanent license. It expires unless an extension letter is received by the driver from the Motor Vehicle Administration. After the 45-day period has expired you cannot not drive, and your driver's license will be considered under suspension. In addition to the 45-day temporary license, the officer will give you a hearing request form. You must send in the hearing request form immediately. It should be sent by certified mail, return receipt requested, along with a check in the amount of $125.00 made payable to the Maryland State Treasurer. The scheduling of the hearing is crucial. If the request for hearing is postmarked more than ten (10) days but less than thirty (30) days from the date of the incident/arrest, then the temporary driver’s license expires after forty-five (45) days. If the hearing is requested more than thirty (30) days from the date of the incident the individual will not get a hearing and his/her license will be suspended automatically.

Thanks for the explanation.
Looks like Centreville's Town Manager will be using a temporary license for a while.

For one...the driving while intoxicated was just stupid...but in the car that was assigned to him..wow...Centreville would not have survived that lawsuit if someone had been injured. I don't really know anything about him..except for this incident...although..I'm pretty sure I know plenty of people who would educate me about him. I think I want to be Mayor of Centreville.

The very first thing they need to do is take his car away! that type of irresponsibility on the taxpayers dime is inexcusable!

Frank,
I was advised that the car was secured from him at the time of his arrest by town officers and placed in town yard as an impound, which means he is not allowed near it. I was advised that a drug dog was run around the vehicle and gave a "hit" (indication of drugs) on the trunk area, but none were found in it.
I have had chance in the past to speak with last police chief who advised that starting in late 2007, he had opened an "ethics" investigation on the town manager for reports he received of the mgr smoking dope and of a report he verified through Md. property records of the town mgr claiming both the home he owns in town and in Bladensburg as "primary residence" on property tax records. I think that has to do with the homestead tax credit given to homeowners. I hope this goes to the State Comptrollers Office for a look. I am attempting to reach the past chief to see what has come of all that.
Also heard that he was let go after a heated meeting last night where one of two women he fondled last year stood up and complained to council, she did not feel safe to do so until last night.
Friend called and said some kind of announcement from the town will be made tonight on him.
Mmmmmmm.

This was posted on Face book:
Anyone who has concerns about the behavior of the town manager who was arrested on 1/1/13 for drunk driving may want to attent the closed session scheduled for tonight 1/3 at 6 pm. Citizens can make comments at the beginning of the meeting before the Town Council goes into closed session. The regular Town Council meeting is scheduled for 7 PM after the closed session tonight.
Not like they gave anyone notice of that... I'm getting sick so I am not going...

Is a pdf of a QAC Sheriff's Police Report normally available like this to the public? I did some searching, but could only come up with incident reports, not the actual police reports. What site do you go to where you can find those police reports?

I think you have to go in and request a freedom of information act to get that. Seeing the site it came from, that nut job Svein Storm has been drooling everyday for the last few years for something like this to happen to anyone of authority in the town or County.
Pretty sure he made the original post on here about it. Who else would care that much except for him? He trolls through here sometimes and it's easy to spot his posts.
