While it is good to follow the links, please keep spreading the word. This is about many issues, first being finding Robin, that being said we also live on KI and our own families safety is also at risk so any information heard may or may not be helpful. Further it is understandable people who live here want to know what is going on. People involved are looking at all the boards. Just an FYI there will be another debriefing by the police this week. Also many who searched Sunday are requesting another search further uo as we searched the southern portion of the island. As of now it is still in the talking stage but support is needed. There were over 400 people signed up for Sunday however only over 200 showed up. So if you do sign up please come out as it is hard to prepare for this and being close in who will come is important to know how much ground can be covered and how many supplies are needed. Also please keep an eye out for anything you may notice out of the ordinary .

From the Sheriff's office on March 20th: SEARCH CONTINUES FOR ROBIN POPE
MSP Investigators continue to work the case with searches continuing by allied agencies. The Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit recently expanded their searches further in the Bay and into Eastern Bay and tributaries. Another boat and dive team from Calvert County was in the water on Sunday. In addition various aircraft have flown the area conducting searches.
Rumors continue that clothing found belong to Ms. Pope. However to date, investigators have not linked any of the items to her.
Several tips have been received from persons claiming to possess clairvoyant powers. These tips have been checked out as well. All information received by the Sheriff’s Office has been documented and shared with MSP.
Robin Pope was last seen on March 1st at about 2200 Hours at the home of her estranged husband on Beach Road in Stevensville. Her Great Dane was found the following day deceased on the shoreline near the residence.
Call the Maryland State Police at (410) 758-1101 or the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff at (410) 758-0770 if you have any information that may aid the investigation. Tips can also be emailed to the Sheriff at sheriff-info@qac.org .

The daughters must be going through hell - I hope the Police are keeping them updated before news hits the social media world - although I'm sure it's difficult with scanners and links to live feeds.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 23, 2013
WOMAN’S BODY RECOVERED FROM KENT ISLAND SHORELINE
(STEVENSVILLE, MD) – Maryland State Police investigators will await the results of forensic examinations to determine if the body of a woman found along the Kent Island shoreline this afternoon is the Queen Anne’s County woman who has been missing for three weeks. Shortly before 3:30 p.m. today, Queen Anne’s County Emergency Communications received a 911 call from the 500-block of Bay Drive, Stevensville. The caller reported he had been fishing on a pier when he observed a body in the water near the shore. Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded and contacted Maryland State Police investigators who have been investigating the disappearance of Robin L. Pope, 51, of Stevensville, Md. Pope was reported missing by her husband early on the morning of March 2, 2013. Multiple land and water searches and a continuing investigation since that time had failed to locate Pope. State Police Homicide Unit investigators and Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office personnel secured the scene. The body was recovered from the water with the assistance of personnel from the Kent Island and United Communities Fire Department shortly before 6:00 p.m. State Police crime scene technicians conducted evidence collection procedures. The body is that of an adult female, but further identification cannot be made at this time. The body has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy. Investigators will be forwarding dental records and other information related to Robin Pope to assist pathologists in identification efforts. State Police investigators notified Robin Pope’s husband and daughters of the recovery and the lack of a positive identification. They will keep family members informed of identification efforts and results from the medical examiner’s office. The investigation has still not determined why or how Robin Pope disappeared. The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit investigation is continuing. Anyone with information about Robin Pope is urged to contact Maryland State Police at the Centreville Barrack at 410-758-1101. Callers may remain confidential.

Its too bad the "Peoples Republic of Maryland" outlawed the death penalty. The coward responsible for her murder deserves nothing less than a miserable inhumane death....as she suffered. God rest her soul....finally.

Has there been any confirmation whatsoever that anyone has been murdered? The dog was first thought to have suffered trauma, but was later found to have died of natural causes. What is this ridiculous speculation and politicization of a tragic death. May God give her and her family peace, whatever the results of investigation show.

We live out here knowing each day clicks one off of our total.
I'd rather live in a box than not at all. I could finally catch up on my reading.
But aren't we getting ahead of ourselves talking about the death penalty vs life?

Bring back the electric chair, the needle is to good. That's what we give our loved pets. Just watch, O'Malley will run in 2016 for President. God help us all!

I'm all for a good death penalty debate, but maybe out of respect it should go to a separate thread (probably in the politics tab) ...

I can't believe it either...I have known Robin for about 18 years...we weren't close friends..but we kept in touch all these years. She is the one who I bought our fence from...We blabbed quite a bit on Facebook in PM's...My son and his fiance just got a Dane puppy and I was telling her about that...and she had replied and FB didn't notify me of that so I missed her comments..ugh...
