I thought I paid attention but this one got by me. I did not realize that the State of Maryland owned the Hyatt Chesapeake Bay resort in Cambridge. Your not going to believe this, but it is losing lots of money. Here is an article from today's Baltimore Sun. Baltimore Sun Story

No problem, Owe and his boys on the other side are flush with transportations funds they can divert after they give Baltimore City 90M for some new schools.

I remember years ago someone telling me that this place was built with the intention of getting slots. Same someone had told me the floors were pre-wired for machines.
The place is beautiful. I would love to stay there for a night or two. However the City of Cambridge isn't all that nice but there are a lot of nice out-door areas around there like the wildlife refuge that are nice to check out.

The state has no business being in the resort business, much like QAC shouldn't be in the airport business....... If it's not making money, sell it or close it. Stop throwing (wasting) more money on it
