I have an Iomega external hard drive that got dropped and now I can't get it to work. It has all of my pictures on it from an old computer and don't want to lose them. Does anyone have a recommendation for a computer repair shop that could possibly fix it? Thanks!

I doubt that someone capable of dissembling and repairing a hard drive is something that you could find locally. Probably something that you are going to have to find online. All hard drives will fail sooner or later. The hope is that it fails after we stop using the computer. The online back up services like Carbonite, Mozy, idrive etc are pretty cheap and work well. They only require that you go to their site, download the software and it is seamless after that. Even if someone steals the computer, it gets hit by lightning or your house burns down your data is protected. In my opinion well worth the $50 annual charge.

We can take a look at it and see if it can be salvaged. No charge if we can't help you
