The county kept allowing folks to buy lots and build all along and the price is being paid now with bad ground water, failing septic fields etc. At best, the county could have only allowed building on lots of at least an acre in size to spread out the risks for failing septic etc. So are you saying the county created this mess? I guess they should be responsible for public sewer to SKI. Well then, bring it on! Not so much the mess, as it is now, but the lack of action back when this first became an issue. How many more new homes have been built in the SKI area since failing septic fields started to occur? It allowed people to buy lots while being told you will be able to eventually build when the sewer comes. The county and the commissioners did not help things by continually "kick the can" down the road and never making a solid decision other than spending more tax payer money for studies and the like. All this has done is led to higher costs for all to resolve something that could have been done a long time ago.
