A solid line means do not cross it.....u didn't know u weren't supposed to move in and out of left lane WB? Oh I knew. But like many others don't see the need to be confined to that lane during three lanes wb operations.

Another member posted a video of MD STATE police moving in and out of it. I'm going to continue to do so. When not under 2 way operations, there is NO reason I can't safely change lanes between the 1 and 2 lanes. You are 100% correct. It's for 2 way

You are 100% correct. It's for 2 way My opinion too. With three lanes westbound, it's just a three-lane highway. There should be no restrictions.

We'll i can tell you for sure that they are enforcing lane changes into and out of the fast lane WB. Also asked the nice officer about day time running lights. He said that they do not count and you are required to have the full headlights on. I haven't been driving over the bridge much since the regs came into effect. Today I did, and noticed that many, many people, as I was going eastbound on the westbound bridge, were not using any lights. This includes truck drivers. I should have counted, but it seemed that every third or fourth vehicles had no lights, despite all thie signs and publicity. While I feel that much of the effort is going overboard, I can see where lights during two-way traffic could be prudent. Regardless, people ignore this, they ignore the reg about having lights on if wipers are on., etc. in myneighborhood, as in many places, people think that stop signs are optional.

Once the MTA figures out how to enforce the headlight thing, the revenue stream will be awesome. It could be done with speed cameras at first, getting a double header with most of the tickets issued. Then they could just have photos of EVERY vehicle crossing. It would be worth it to have half a dozen "photo reviewers" just sitting in a room picking out headlight offenders, entering the tag numbers and and rakin' in the dolla bills.
The headlight rule is not about safety.

Alleycat... it is called.. "The rules do not apply to me even though I see the signs everywhere!". Plain and simple. Take that section of Rt 32 north of Columbia when it goes to 2 lanes and all the signs you see requiring headlight use. Same thing.. many cars/trucks with no headlights. As for the ignoring a STOP sign. I have one right at the end of my street and my home is right there. Amazing how many blow through that sign at speed, while others seem to think S-T-O-P means... " Slow To Only Pause" at this intersection.
