My husband and I are going to St Michaels and staying in Tilghmans for the weekend. What are the best casual bars/restaurants in the area? I'm thinking dock bar types, but anywhere casual would be good. We usually go to Foxy's and used to go to the Big Pickle before it closed. Just looking for some new places. Thanks in advance!

My wife and I enjoyed Harrison's in Tilghmans. Dock type bar on the water, but not he stuffy atmosphere.

In St Michaels you have Foxy's and the Claw as the only "dock bar". We like Carpenter St for their happy hour. We used to like the bridge, but have not been back since they reopened.

The food at Harrisons was good and the bar life was crazy! We had an overnight stop on a poker run and had a great time there. The room, just OK. A/C broken in the first two rooms. Of course, this was 10 years ago. Let us know how things work out. I wouldn't mins another trip down.

Ava's! Great food, great atmosphere, reasonably priced, and so quaint (without being stuffy). Foxy's and C-street are fun, but you don't go there for the food.

Ditto on Ava's, Mama's Meatballs are the best this side of my Grandfathers! Cool patio in the back, laid back and reasonable.
