Since the developer is from Salisbury, I like Grasonbury instead.

Technically that site is in Queenstown Ok, Queensbury then (although I like the sound of Grasonbury better).

Oh great! Looks like time to move. We moved to the shore 20 years ago to get away from the traffic and congestion in PG county. Now We are getting it here. Guess that's what they call "Progress"

Ebola death toll reaches 1,000 in west Africa. I also do hope that slipper hill can fill their commercial space.

It should be called slippery slope. There will be no end to this. Can't wait to go to the docs when everything is built up. Poor grasonville.

Guess that's what they call "Progress" You moved alongside the only feasible route for most of Maryland to get to DE and Ocean City, and you expected no traffic? HAH!!

Oh jeez, I was thinking Grasonville/Queenstown could be the most exclusive community in Maryland. It could be Chevy Chase, Md.

I wonder, how many folks who I see complain about "more traffic and congestion" in this forum whenever a new "shopping venue" is to open, either on KI or anywhere in QAC, have no issues enduring traffic and congestion by doing their shopping in Easton, Annapolis or Delaware? Just asking!

I dunno, but then you have "endure" it only if you have to go shopping, not all the time every day.

Yes, BUT... wouldn't the traffic be generated by those residents who live around here? I am not saying these new "shopping venues" would attract folks from Annapolis and Easton to come to QAC to do their shopping, which I seriously doubt would happen. Instead of "us" having to go "there", we stay closer to home. Are some of these folks implying they do not want to be able to do their shopping close to home and prefer to travel to do that? Isn't the goal to keep QAC money in QAC?

Bchevy...what I said.
Burner bill...I guess you don't realize that people from beyond actually DO come here to shop!
And...I suppose we.re talking about target, lowes, things like that, where you don't shop every day. Do you? You need to get more organized if you do;-)

I did not realize KMart and Big Lots are such a draw for folks from "beyond" to shop here on KI! Hopefully you are not referring to the "through to the beach" folks as those types of shoppers. As for organized about shopping.... I truly am. Most shopping on the island is groceries. When it is time to go for bigger ticket items or shopping for a project, it is off to the nether regions of Easton or Annapolis and beyond... one trip, lots of stuff!! (-;

Almost all of our traffic is either local folks bombing about , commuters passing through, or through-traffic going to the beaches.
More commerce on the island isn't going to increase traffic. More houses is, in a small way. The other two major factors aren't affected by what we have on the island or even in the county.

One more step towards becoming Laurel. Unbelievable that another apartment complex is coming. One of the reasons I moved here was the complete LACK of apartments. Retirement in Florida looks better every year.

(-; I don't know about big lots, but they do come for Kmart...and I don't mean the beach goers. Also, I think people will generally go to the closest version of a store, or perhaps the easiest one to access. But you seem to contradict your own argument. I don't think that making the occasional trip to Easton or Annapolis, combining stops, is the same as daily traffic, so I don't think people are being hypocritical about not minding contributing to that. If you build it. Fitting ourselves out with big box stores and the like is an invitation to congestion from surrounding areas...note, I'm not saying local.
