Actually, alleycat, I do not see how I contradict my own argument since I was not making the case for no new shopping venues in this area. I would much prefer to stay closer to home than to get those things I have to get by going to Annapolis or Easton. Is it your contention folks would cross the bridge or come east from Easton if this area had a draw anchor store with related other stores? If not, where will the "more traffic" some opponents say will occur come from if not within our own communities and generated by us? I know the area around Rt 301 and Rt 213 is under consideration for such a venue. Anyone against that?

I do not believe any one would cross the bridge to get to a store here. For the most part they would be passing what ever store they wanted to get to the bridge. Pretty much the same for Easton. Although Easton may drive west for the right store.

The only people that cross over the bridge from the western shore to shop are headed to Delaware to make a big tax-free purchase.
There are bus trips to the outlets, but that's about it. Everyone else at the outlets are locals or toursts on the way to/from the beach
