Around 1pm this afternoon, I had a sketchy meat seller come to my door in Grasonville. He knocked loudly, rang the door bell a couple of times, and when I answered attempted to begin his sales pitch. All I could get out was "No, absolutely not" And that was the end of that. He was in a small truck, with a large white Chest Freezer (obviously not plugged in) strapped down in the bed of it. He asked twice when the last time I had seen a meat seller in the area. I told him not very often. He was an older white male, some teeth missing, with a friend in his truck who was smoking a cigarette.
Just a warning for fellow locals out there. I don't know what operation he is attempting to start, or if it even is legit, but be on the lookout... and lock your doors! I would also like to say, it's probably not a good idea to buy meat from this guy...

We get these meat salesmen in our neighborhood several times a year. The whole operation is shady. Then they cop attitudes when you tell them no, which usually takes at least three separate times to accomplish since every time you do they come back with some other "special deal" for you. If I see them I don't even answer the door.

Anyone have luck with the Meat Locker in Sudlersville. Do they have a decent selection of meats and a reasonable price.

I am happy with the price and selection of what I was looking for. I am going to be getting the chicken and breakfast pkg they offer.

I agree that door to door meat salespersons are shady! How safe can the meat actually be? Where does it come from? They have come to my house a few times over the years, but not recently. I immediately told them that I was a vegetarian and that was that! They quickly walked away and bothered someone else! Now, I gotta go...... have a juicy filet mignon from Whole Foods on the grill!!

If I'm going that far I will just drive to Haass's. But if I'm in Calvert county I will stop in Nick's. Anyone have luck with the Meat Locker in Sudlersville. Do they have a decent selection of meats and a reasonable price.

Haas is the best. The only place I found where you can get restaurant quality beef. Melts in your mouth. A little pricey , but worth it. This is not your Food Lion or Safeway meat! We love their fresh kielbasa. And for scrapple lovers, this is the place to go.
