Facebook posts say there is a hostage situation? Possibly an armed robbery gone bad?

Crazy. Possible hostage situation. Reports of tear gas being used. I hope that the family / homeowners are OK.

I haven't been able to get the official word, but a neighbor said that the homeowners are on vacation and not in the house. According to the Sheriff's Office, there is "no hostage situation" - Just an alleged robbery with the Perp in the house. State Police are handling the situation.

No problem! It's great to hear that the neighbors noticed something wrong and called the police. These days we really have to look out for one another.

It's really scarey when you think we live in a quiet neighborhood. My son heard noise in house, 0400, stepped out his the BR at the top of the stairs & a stranger was looking at him from the bottom of the steps. My dad got up to go potty & when he walked into the family room someone was passed out of his sofa. It was also about 0400. Son lives in Millersville, dad lives in Chicago burb. There is no place really safe these days. My dads intruder was someone on drugs & just went to the wrong house, was arrested. My sons night time visitor was caught down the street, also wasted. Arrested, now in prison. He was out on bail from other events involving weapons. So nice to know. Well we all have alarm systems now that are 24/7 monitored. Fortunately no one was injured in any of our situations.

If you stumble in to this wrong house, or otherwise get in here in the middle of the night without invitation, Chances are very good that you wont stumble out, or get out under your own power in any other form....

I think if my son had a weapon it might have been so. He kept his cool & told the 2 x to get the F*** out of my house NOW! The guy stumbled around & left. He told the police he thought it was his buddies house, who he had talked to earlier & the buddy said come on by. My dad is 90 & although he does have several weapons chose to call the police, who responded in minutes. The female was passed out on the sofa so he didnt feel threatened, only pissed & a bit shaken. Thank G_d no one was hurt. My D-I-L- slipped into the toddlers room to keep him ok & then quiet after his dad yelled at the guy.
