Ram’s Head Shore House Hosts St. Baldrick’s Foundation Head-Shaving Event to Raise Funds for Childhood Cancer Research
What: Ram’s Head Shore House in Stevensville, MD will host a St. Baldrick’s Foundation signature head-shaving event to
raise funds and awareness for lifesaving children’s cancer research on Sunday March 8th, 2015. With a goal of raising
$10,000 to support the Foundation’s mission to Conquer Childhood Cancers! This is the second year Ram’s Head Shore House
has hosted this event. The inaugural event last year brought in over $11,000 in donations.

Why: Worldwide a child is diagnosed with cancer every three minutes, and one in five children diagnosed in the U.S. will not
survive. The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity dedicated to childhood cancer research funding to
support the most promising research initiatives to find cures. As the largest private funder of childhood cancer research
grants, the Foundation hosts head-shaving events where volunteers collect pledges and then shave their heads in solidarity
with kids with cancer.
