I have been going to Carmines for years, and I have nothing negative to say about the food. But, 9 out of ten times a female manager overcharges, not by pennies but dollars.
I finally said something and got a dirty look, well never again. They lost my business for good. There is a new Brick oven Pizza place opening in the next 6 months right buy the old fire dept. in Stevensville, across from the Car Wash, can't happen soon enough.
One White Pizza, Charged with coupon $18.00 Come On!!!!
$12.99 plus tomatoes $1.99 = $14.98 less 15% coupon= $12.73 plus 6% tax = $13.49
First she charged $18.00 then she charged $14.00 Never got it right.
So BEWARE and check your bill.. Sorry but never again. If you can't figure change in dollars don't run a register. Once I can forgive, maybe twice, but not 9 out or 10 times. Even without the coupon she was way off.

I guess my question would be why did you never say anything before now? There isnt any place I go that I dont check my bill & if it isnt correct I bring it to the servers attention. If they don't like it that really is to bad. I certainly wouldnt just keep letting it slide.

Your correct! You pay at the counter when ordering. Most of the time it's less than a dollar on $15.00. I look at it as, it's there tip. But when it's $4.00 you take notice. There are a few places around here that play that game. Safeway is another one of them.

A local donut shop sometimes has this problem, and some of the chain restaurants in Annapolis have the same problem. It's my change--I like to get it back first. Please don't presume that I had exact change but instead decided to round up and the remainder was intended for you.

Alanr - "there" tip ? Try " their" tip . I thought you said you went to college ? I'm surprised you had the ability to determine that you had been overcharged. Are there any local businesses that you frequent or are they all second rate ? Carmines won't miss your business. They will do fine without you.

You're is a contraction of "you are" but you can also use your, but hey, I was on the 50 yard line while everybody else was taking Spanish and English, in that order. (:

Gymmember,
Amazing. Why waste your time with childish comments such as above. When you are dictating on your cell phone your not looking at every word. This is what I do while in the car traveling, as a passenger. It's not worth wasting my time otherwise. That piece of parchment you are referring to, did nothing for me in life. I made my millions the hard way, working for myself! How many have you made correcting words?

As you can see by the number of comments that I have made on here that I do not waste my time on childish comments. I reserve them for people like you. You are one of a kind. I did notice that Safeway is also being punished.

By the way "your" is spelled "you're". You just can't seem to get it right.

In case you're confused, Alan, it's your second use of "your" that is incorrect above. It's not a difficult thing to get right if you want people to take you seriously.

Rob, Please don't take this the wrong way,but personally I don't care. The good thing about being retired and well off is you don't have to give a S&^T.
My you and you're words have gotten me though life just fine. As I said once before, when I am in the car, I am dictating on my cell phone not typing. I will blame Apple.

Alan, I think the problem I have with you is that you seem to be always complaining about something. Over time it gets old. By the way people who REALLY have money rarely talk about it. A wealthy highly educated man like yourself wouldn't care about $4. By the way I eat at Carmines often. Know the manager well. Nice lady.

We have tried Carmine's three times. Three times that lady has overcharged. Three times I have corrected her and received the 'evil eye'. She once charged almost $18 over the actual cost. We no longer frequent Carmine's.
Gymmember - how did this conversation become so toxic?

People build wealth by not being stupid and blowing money. Besides who is bragging. No one said, she was not nice, just that she has a tendency to overcharge. Time to close this forum.

I ate at Carmine's once, only because they were doing some sort of "benefit the school" thing where 10% of your check went to the school or something. It's out of my way so I wouldn't have stopped there otherwise. I can't remember what we got -- something like a sub and a kid's meal. I also can't remember what it cost, but I remember that it was SOOOO very expensive that I went "Whoa!" and the one thing I came away from the place with was not "That was a nice experience" but rather the thought of "How in the world can such a little bit of food cost so much???" It was an OK meal -- not the greatest -- and most assuredly not worth the cost. I have not been back and will not ever BE back -- I'm sure they won't miss me but the point is I'm not going to pay outrageous prices for food that's only average. And to hear that it's standard to overcharge makes me wonder if that's what they did that day -- I didn't really check it out because I was in a hurry to get out the door, but I have to say it makes the price I paid make sense.
Just an observation that may have nothing to do with it, since cash registers usually take the effort out of it, but people don't seem to know how to do basic math these days. They may not be able to properly calculate change and/or coupon discount unless some computer chip does it for them... maybe that's the problem.
Apologies ahead of time for any grammatical errors since that seems to be an issue here... I did proof but goodness knows I might have missed something...
