The bay water is pretty warm, eeeew. Do you swim in the bay?
(From WNAV) Grace Brown, 76, who lives in Pasadena, says she never felt any pain like the pain she had as the flesh eating bacteria Vibrio started feasting on her toe and foot.
Interviewed in the Capital, she thinks she got the bacteria from pools of water that accumulated on her dock after her grand kids were jumping from her dock into Stony Creek.
Officials say the bacteria grows in warm water and people pick it up from the water or from eating raw or uncooked seafood and shellfish.
It is advised to thoroughly cook all shellfish, clean surfaces and utensils to avoid cross contamination, and those with cuts and sores- should stay out of the local tidal waters and away from the pools of water that may collect when and where people are swimming.

This worries me about as much as getting struck by lighting.
