When I read this the old Acme first came to mind but as I recall the Acme was only 25,000sf. I sure would like a third option back around here. LINK

A week or so ago I saw people working inside the old Acme store, but haven't heard anything about what is going in there.
Tonight (5:30) I went up to KMart and was told they were closed, except for the pharmacy. I didn't think at that time to ask if it was a permanent closing which is happening to many Kmart stores or not. I never saw ours listed as one that was going to close, but management may have decided to close them all. There are a lot of major stores, mostly clothing that are closing their stores, which will leave a lot of vacant space in shopping malls. Bob Evens is closing their restaurants, so the one in Easton will never be rebuilt. All these closings will leave a lot of people out of work.

Wait till the Automated Revolution begins to pick up it's pace, in response to the Socialists mandating a $15.00/hr. min. wage. THAT, will be a job killer, for sure!! The businesses will be there, but 1/10 the staff. What will the Socialists do then??? Oh, yeah, they'll go on welfare and collect.

KMart was closed Friday night because none of the registers were working. I heard it was corporate wide for all Sears and KMart stores. The KMart was open for regular business on Saturday.

Hi. New to the forum. There is an Lidl being proposed in Easton by BJ's, behind Target, down from Harris Teeter, across the road from Acme and Food Lion (soon to be a Weis). Just a couple miles away from where Aldi is under construction on Rt. 50, down from Walmart, next to Giant. Add Safeway and Earth Origins and they will have 11 places to buy groceries within a few miles of each other.
