Holy crap - QAC is finally going to kick the d**n Virginia and PA people off of our internal roads! I'm not sure how they can enforce the "beach ban", but I'm hoping that they can do this. If anyone here has a medical emergency on a summer weekend, they are as good as dead if the roads stay the way that they are now. Here's the the "Proposed Beach to Bridge Traffic Plan". The objective of this plan is to keep Bay Bridge bound traffic on Rt. 50, thus eliminating local congestion on Kent Island and in Grasonville. You'll find details here www.qac.org/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=1239

Rte 18 is a state road. I'm not sure how the county can block it legally. Is QAC planning on buying the state roads?

I guess one can be charged for not obeying a lawful order of a police officer but the ensuing lawsuits for civil rights violations will be interesting.
