ME ME ME ME ME....I do have a 9 year old son who would have to come with me...but he is all for the trail. He could ride his bike. During school... It would have to be after 8:30 or after 4:00pm. I have lots of junk in the trunk that could be rearranged. Barb

I'm thinking early in the morning - like 6 or 6:30 So I can get it over with before I start work - of course once winter rolls around that will change. Anyone who is serious about losing weight and wants to form a group is welcome to join -- my goal is to dothe 10,000 steps a day program.

LJP, I might be in for some laidback, relaxed, slow, afternoon walks... Of a mile or less. That's as much as I can do. (And maybe less if it becomes a regular thing, my legs have issues.)

honey if I am leaving my house without a portable air conditioner in August I am going to make it worth my while! right now I walk a 19 minute mile every other day at the gym but sometimes it gets boring. I keep forgetting to charge my Ipod. Runners please don't make fun of that! Walkers? can appreciate it. Thanks for the offer funnel

I would love to do it that early...but my husband leaves for work at 6:30 and I don't see him enough as it is. There is a website called www.Seemommyrun.com Its a really neat website. I don't see any groups from Kent Island/Stevensville/Centreville/Grasonville. I had started a group..then deleted it because no one knew about the site to join the group. Barb

Oh I'm sorry - Maybe there will be someone else that wants to walk later. If I don't do it first thing in the morning, I start accumulating reasons why I can't later on in the day -- happy hour, boat ride, happy hour, etc.

I could do early. Sounds like a great idea. I'm near the South KI trail but hate to walk alone and my daughter isn't always available to walk with me. I admit winter would be different, or difficult, but worry about that later.

I can't guarentee that I can be there that day ... but just in case, where will you leave from? KIHS or Narrows or Castle Marina? I was hoping not to drive, but would consider it.

Wendy's at Exxon Station. We'll go as long as we can - my goal is to eventually work up to 10k steps a day and at a pace that will burn some calories.

id be very interested in joining a walk or hike group. I like to cover 3 miles or so at a leisurely pace...more if I have more time. Since Im not familiar with the area, Id be be happy going where others think are good places.

I like to park at the old outlets and start there and walk as far as I can. I can do 11 miles if I ride my bike...not sure if I am walking...definatly not so far. I need to make it worth it since I am coming from Centreville. I am in extremely bad shape...My son is now 10...but I like to be here when he gets on the bus at 7:40 am.

What I mean is if I have an hour to walk, Id like to do about 4 miles or so...That kind of pace....regular, moderate but not fast.....Im not interested in breakneck speed just to get it done and move onto something else...Building up to a possible faster pace slowly is more my style.. That isnt relaxing to me, plus Im more likely to injure myself...Im flexible with times....and eager to scout the areas when I get here....early evening is good for me as is AM as long as its not too early....weekdays are best...weekends are hubby time...Id certainly do a hike or walk then but not all the time.
