That's it!!!! Please tell me which "chain/franchises" are now allowable? Where are the "go back to the othe side" or "I don't like new businesses" messages? All I want it a Friggin Applebees and everyone craps on me.
Now everyone seems to agree it's okay for Target, Micheals, Movie Theatres, Bowling Alleys etc... !!! Last time I looked, all of those were conviently located... in GLEN BURNIE!!!
Not to mention in Easton or Annapolis. So if bchevy really wants to do that stuff I suggest driving there like I have to do for Applebees.
Speaking of bchevy, were you against another franchise like Rita's moving in at the time? Seems to me your car club has benifited from a national franchise since you have a place to meet that welcomes your business and provides you with a place to hang out.
Back to Movie Theatres and Bowling Alleys Would it be premature for me to suggest that EVERYONE clamouring for a Movie Theatre, Ice Rink and Bowling alley would then complain about $10 movie tickets, $5 for a cup of Coke or Popcorn, Game Prices at Bowling Alley, not being able to bowl at various times because of leagues, shoe rental prices, and don't get me started on Ice Rinks, Ice Time, Skate rentals, etc...
Oh and I'm sure we'd all like to have another thread on how bad the food is at the concession stands at a Movie theatre, Ice Rink, and Bowling Alley. 4 hour old hot dogs, dried out pizza slices, watered-down sodas, stale nachos...
And what about "outsiders" visiting these establishments. How long before someone were to complain they don't feel safe because of the "element" that likes to hang out at those places?

DUDE: You have a serious problem with your Applebees hangup. I think you need help, or maybe you write the ads for them?
I don't see wher anyone has "agreed" on anything, and if they did, it certainly wouldnt mean anything.
FYI. The "National franchise" that is Rita's benefits a lot more from the car club being there than visa versa, The store gets the business from us being there, and the specators, all as customers. We took what was a slow Tuesday night and made it better. that's not why we're there, just a side effect.
