I was driving on RT 18 today behind ACME and saw the strangest thing. The fields on the north side of RT 18 and the field behind Friendly had these drifts that looked like logs! There were hundreds of them and they were all pointed in the same direction. Most of them were about the same size but they were all cylindrical in shape and about 3 feet long! None of the school fields had them and none of the other fields such as Lowry's had them. Very strange!

I noticed the same thing on two of the farms down RT#8. Couldn't figure out what it was. I would love to know.

I saw the same things on the farms on Rt. 8, I live near the Elks and I have one in my back yard, no one has been back there and there are no footprints but it is like a big snowball right in the middle of my back yard. Must somehow be the wind, my back yard is a field with not many trees. Strange, I have never had this happen before and I have lived here for 22 years!

I didn't want to go there but that photo was right next to the fenced off government communication area on Cox Neck Road. I'm sure that you have heard all the stories that stem from that tract of land. There is a very lengthy thread on this forum that has some interesting stories and testimonials attached to it about that land.

Its probably caused by the strong winds blowing that day

I was talking with someone who actually seen what happened. She sd while the wind was blowing, it picked up some kind of object and just rolled up like you would when you make a snowman? I guess they are in the same direction because of the direction the wind was blowing? ?/

Well, the wind was blowing pretty good over here, so I assume ya'll had a bit over there, too. I'm so glad that you posted the pic, KIC, because I won't be travelling that way this week (dad's cataract surgery, pt 2); going the opposite direction.
As for ALIENS, well, I was tempted to make the same smart-alec crack, but since I hadn't seen them I didn't want to be flip. (Which I can be at times). Pretty wild stuff over there on the ES...keep an eye out on the skies, bwahahahaha! ;D
