I have a conference next week in Annapolis (not travelling far, as you can see, haha) and wanted to see what sort of places ya'll might recommend for dinner. We'll only be there overnight, but I wanted to be able to have some options. Oh, one of us is a vegetarian (will eat "nothing with a face") so if you know of a great restaurant that also has some good veggie options, that would be wonderful, too! Thanks in advance; I always get great help from all of you when I have questions!

Hard to say right now what we'll do, but thanks everyone for all the recommendations so far. My coworker was so impressed by my "hard work" finding places....yeah, right. Be assured that I gave all credit to all of you who have given us ideas. ;D

I would agree that Mike's is a great place. If it's a "bidness" meeting, you might try the Yellow Fin (they have a sushi bar) in Edgewater at the South River bridge on RT 2. Nice place, a little more upscale, a good water view too like at Mike's.

Nice place, a little more upscale, a good water view too like at Mike's. It's "bidness" but we're not actually working til the next day at the conference. So...we'll probably be more laid back. I'm waiting for my co-worker to tell me exactly where she would like to go. I can eat any food, but she's vegetarian, so I try to defer to what she can do. (The mom in me worries about my co-workers, most of whom are younger than I am, haha). I think she may be leaning to Gordon Biersch because of the salads, but I'll add Mike's and Yellow Fin to the list. Thanks to all of you! ;D

Thank you all again for your wonderful suggestions! As it turned out, my co-worker and my boss liked the idea of Gordon Biersch (close proximity and availability of veggie-friendly items). Food was delicious, we had a nice time, decently priced. Now, as to the many other suggestions, I know where I need to go for other times I will be down here, and am looking forward to trying out all of your suggestions. Thanks again; I really appreciate that we had options that were "tried and true".

You know, I never did report back, now, did I? Sorry about that! My boss and co-worker decided that they wanted to go to Gordon Biersch; right across the street (almost) from the hotel, it was a HORRIBLY rainy night, so we didn't want to have to travel anywhere far. I had the seared tuna (which was to die for; perfectly done), co-worker got the hummus and goat cheese salad (I think; bad memory, but I seem to remember a discussion on goat cheese), and boss got the crab cake sandwich. No complaints from any of us, we pretty much cleaned our plates. Our boss was recovering from bronchitis at the time, on antibiotics, and prior to dinner had said it had been affecting his appetite/taste, but he left nothing to waste, so I believe that must have been one delicious crab cake sandwich! ;D Didn't have beer this time (had wine with the tuna) and I thought the prices were very reasonable. It was a hit with us! I fully intend to return to try some of the beers (and eat dinner!). Once again, thank you all for your recommendations. I am looking forward to trying them all as I travel down Annapolis way!!!
