I work on Hondas. I have 9 years experience and am Honda trained. I do work on the side at home. I can beat dealership price by half. I use Honda factory parts. An example is timing belts; Civics 350 parts and labor, Accords 400, any Honda V6 450. I can do all kinds of other work and on other makes and models. I have references if anyone needs them.

Island Tech is truly a great resource for high quality auto repairs at a great price! If you have any kind of issue with your car or truck I would highly recommend sending him a PM with your questions. He will be straight up and honest with you and suggest the best solution to correct your problem with your vehicle for a great deal less than the dealership or repair shop that you are currently going too. Give him a try! You wont regret it.

I would like to add that I totally agree. I needed work done on my vehicle -- 4 CV clamps -- I was told $180 for the job which included 2 hours labor at $75. Island Tech did it for half and it didn't even take him one hour -- and I had the pleasure of DD Lover's (his wife's) company. Again, thank you Island Tech and DD Lover!

Ohhh really? Do you work on VDubs? I need to get my car through emissions and the check engine light and the ABS light is on, and I'm freaking out about money since I don't make any hardly at all. How much do you charge to see what's wrong? I have taken it places and been charged out the butt just to have them hook up to a computer, and I really hate to have to drive to Annapolis Auto Zone to have them look on theirs. I have a 1999 Volkswagen Cabrio....

Sorry I haven't gotten back at you Island tech - that storm came yesterday and I think it has mysteriously turned my check engine light off. (or the light bulb in there blew....) I'm gonna try to get it through emissions before it comes back on. But I'm definitely going to have to have it looked at if there's a problem with the computer so you'll be the first person I talk to, that's for sure!!!!

Just had my truck worked on by Island Tech. I usually do most of my routine maintenance myself, but this time I had some other issues and wasn't too sure about taking it on myself. After I called the dealer and got a ridiculous quote to have the job done, I remembered reading this post a while back. Sure glad I did, I got ahold Island tech and he did a great job, not only did he save me some money (a lot), I got it done right here on the island. No need to head over the bridge to annap. or down 50 to easton. So to say the least, I know where I am going next time I need some work done.
If anyone needs work done on their auto I would definitely recommend contacting Island tech, he does great work and is honest when it comes to what needs done.
