Adaml................................where are you.................hello...............where are you.................what no response?
Hale80 - good question, was he there to see the activities of the sheriff's department during the event? Doubt it.
Each member of the department I was in contact with during the event were very personable, professional, and approachable.
As Speeder mentioned, one unfortunate situation was handled before it was able to leave the CBEC grounds and possibly cause problems for other innocent folks outside the event grounds - it was resolved because the sheriff's department was on site.
Taxpayers money well spent!
WaterLady - one side is obviously not his mouth.

Ok - as one of the "Island Bay Day" folks, as you stated - you are treading on thin ice. I will not put up with anyone bashing our charity event or anyone involved with it - period. Sheriff Hoffman was nice enough to be there and that helped us keep any potential trouble makers in check just by his presence. I realize that there are a few yahoos that take every opportunity to bash the Sheriff for what-ever political gains on here which really is not the right thing to do - but if you are going to use our event to do that I absolutely will ban you from here no questions asked. We have worked very hard to make Island Bay Day a success for our charities and I have made it quite clear that anyone who wants to be involved can be, regardless of their background, political affiliations, or anything else. I think that if you ask anyone involved you would see that we have been very fair and that we welcome any involvement from anyone. Island Bay Day was not a drunk fest and the beer and wine area was just a small part of what was going on. Tie this to some anti-Sheriff thing again and you're out. Try me. and I didn't think I could respect you any more... just got shivers up my spine, go on wit' yo bad self... why is this such a big deal? I'm just saying. Security is security whether IBD paid for it or not why is this a question? The Sheriff wasn't the only politician (and in case you don't know this, this is what he has to be) out there that day. I for one am eternally grateful that they were there promoting their safety program. For more than just the one incident SG speaks of, there were a few - like assisting someone who fell and offered aid by the way since our EMS company : MDEMSP – EMS SERVICES OF EASTON 7250 OXFORD ROAD EASTON, MD 21601 410-822-2294 or cell 410-829-9319 KRISTOPHER DURHAM failed to provide that promised service.
