I live in Queens Landing and i am all for the extention of sewer. There is so much undeveloped land down there and the houses on KI are VERY overpriced and old. Its time for the island to accept the growth and get up to date. Development isn't a bad thing if done correctly.

I don't understand why anyone wouldn't want city water & sewer? Isn't there a huge septic problem with the areas in southern Kent Island? What am I missing here? I have city water/sewer in Bayside and am very happy with it.

People dont want city water and sewer down rt8 because it will promote WAY too much development and traffic will be awful!

There will be a time when it'll be needed, I don't think we are there yet. Hopefully when it happens our county leaders will learn how to get some federal money for the project to offset the cost of the project for EVERYONE.
I'm in Bay City, paying the cost of TWO connections......
Undeveloped land, isn't a BAD thing. is it?
......and traffic will be awful,,,,,,,,,,, WILL BE?

bchevy, again your points are well taken and I fully agree with you. There is no problem with undeveloped land. That is what this Island is made up of and what it should stay like. If people are looking for "up-to-date" then this is not the place for it. Why do people want to make this place just like everywhere else? That is what sets us apart from the rest. Again places like anon was describing already exist. If that’s what they want then go there. And on the subject of traffic, as if we don’t already have enough of that in the summer.
