I'm thinking about moving to Queenstown by next spring, and wanted to know what websites are people's favorites for vanpools? I saw the Kent Island 922 and 950 bus to DC, and need somehow to get up from DC to downtown Silver Spring once I move.
If I can ask enough people, maybe we can convince the bus to continue up to Silver Spring after finishing the rounds in DC. If not, has anyone got arranged a vanpool that goes in the direction of downtown Silver Spring from DC or Kent Island, or know the fastest bus that connects from the 922, 950 from downtown DC to Silver Spring?
Thank you.

You can take the 950 Bus Line to 12th & K-Street, walk down to Metro Center and jump on the Red Line Metro to Silver Spring. Bus ride is about an hour, and that Metro Ride would be about 25 minutes. Still beats driving...

Yes, that's one thing I had considered. I just wondered if there was a chance of organizing a vanpool for those of us who prefer not to deal with WMATA's recent safety record, or crowdedness.

So far connecting with Commuter Connections hasn't gotten me anywhere. Is there an e-mail I should contact? Is there someone who can match the rideshare? Yes, I'm going to do the 950 an 922. However, if the bus isn't running for some reason, I really need an alternative.
