Any good fishing reports?
I went out Sunday and trolled for a few hours. We only had one hookup off Brickhouse bar in about 45 feet of water.. Of course, I don't know how to hold my mouth.. and we only were trolling three rods with nothing fancy, just a couple umbrellas and a spoon.
Best regards, BC

Talked with Captain Mike out of Fishing Creek, they went out opening day and caught 1, went out on Sunday and caught limit in 2 hours, 8 people on a 41ft charter. All of this was down around the gas docks parallel to Calvert Cliffs.

Went out today (Thurs) from 9-12 just south of the bridge towards the eastern shore side. We were marking fish left and right. Unfortunately they did not seem to be hungry and we ended up with a big goose egg

Well, I went out today. I sure thought it would be great. Saw lots of fish on the fishfinder. Heard a few reports of nice catches, but I guess I wasn't holding my mouth right.. .
We fished from about 8 until about 1. Up and down along Kent Island from Mattapeake down past Brickhouse bar and around the middle between 88 and 87. They were there we just couldn't get one on.
Of course, the jellyfish kept messing up the lures..
Maybe tomorrow..
Best regards, BC

I fished off of my pier on Opening Day Saturday and got one late in the day. BUT on SUNDAY I could not stop catching them all day. Caught 7 Biggies and about 4 under 30 inches but over 20 !!! Threw them all back but two, so they are out there. Try going to the shelf where the water drops from 5 to 25ft and bottom fish with bloodworms !! Works for me off of the pier !!!

my husband and my son went out this weekend and caught a 36 incher and a 35 incher. my son also caught a 38 incher saturday, and his friends dad caught a 48 incher on last friday. all of this was down towards bloody point, you just have to catch the tides at the right time

Klips.. your post makes me cry... as we were pulling the boat the other night a guy on the Mattapeake pier said he caught a 41 incher the night before...
Anybody want to buy a boat??
Oh well, it's only gas.. and beer... and pretzels... and ice... and TEN DOLLARS to park at Mattapeake!!! Is that ridiculous or what?
But, a bad luck day fishing is still better than a good day at work..
Best regards, BC

Any day on the water is a good day....
I'm thinking it's worth the beer and pretzels, at the very least! ;D
