If someone does go and try R's again, let us know if you went to the bar side or restaurant side. I can imagine the service might be very different on the two sides.

I have heard that R's has improved dramatically. Apparently they have resolved some of the food and service issues. I guess they just needed time to get the kinks out. I am going to give them a try. I think that it is important to support our local economy.... I just have a hard time accepting anyone's opinion logged in as a guest. Too many business owners, disgruntled employees, or competitors trying to sway my decision. I will give R's a few months before going back. They will have to change to make it that long.

Just came back from R's and can't say I would go again. Big prices, small portions. I ordered the combination platter for $15. It came with a taco and enchillada. The taco was average. You had to ask for cheese and sour cream. The enchillada was the size of an egg roll. With the portions being so small you would think they would fill the rest of the oversized plates with more rice and beans. Even those portions were skimpy.
I don't recommend it.

Was in last night and waited an hour for our food. We finally had to go up to the bartender (bar was empty) and try to pay for our drinks. She let us go saying it was the least she could do. We had asked to see the manager and were told the manager was waiting on a table!Wearing a waitress uniform! What is up with this place? No manager? Over an hour for Mexican food?It was slow (no wait ).Our server said that there was only 2 people in the kitchen? On a Sunday? This place has got be somebody's tax write-off.

i'm glad i used up almost all of my gift card before the place goes belly up. most of my experiences have been reasonably favorable, but all these posts are pretty discouraging. it's too bad. seems like someone there should care--they put a bit of time and effort into it.

Place was packed and louder than an AC/DC concert. Sounded like a middle school cafeteria. We did not have to wait as long for our food as expected which was a plus. The food was not great but it wasn't bad. Some of the portions are small, all of the meats were tender, I suspect they use oil, but they had very little seasoning. The fries are the best, I think because they use peanut oil? The hot brownie with ice cream is good. Extremely loud when packed, small portions, too pricey but not "that" bad. We are going to try going back for lunch.
