Sent to me about KIHS and ARF!
First I want to thank Susan for putting me in the position of having public speaking at KIHS. YOU OWE ME ONE SUSAN ! But the bottom line is that ARF was a wonderful recipient of the honor society, and their fundraising that they did to help us out. The honor society is very involved with their community, and learning about what being a volunteer is to contribute to society.
These gifted boys and girls are our future, and they show how concerned they are about helping out in our community. Don - brought a strong message home to them all. After I spoke, and thanked them all about their support for ARF, and without their help, ARF would not have the finances to help out our animals for medical care to Clorox. Don stepped in. He asked all of the students, raise your hands if you have a cat or dog. Most raised their hands, and then Don continued to explain that if it wasn't for ARF, some cats and dogs would not be alive today. That ARF rescues from so many counties to make space from euthanization. These students are brilliant, and what Don said hit home.
Hopefully we, and all rescues can open up the eyes of society, to how valuable an animals life is. And I believe they know. Not only did the HRS give a check of over $200, they also donated cat and dog food as well. Thank you KIHS. Thank you for your education about volunteering for non profits, mostly, thank you for considering ARF as one of your charities. We are so grateful. Thank you all so very much !
Fondly,
ARF, Susan Beall and Wayne Beall, and all of the volunteers. And all of the cats and dogs who are still awaiting for their forever homes.
GO BUCS !!!!!!
