I'll spell it out in one word:
U-N-B-E-L-I-E-V-A-B-L-E
I thought we learned a lesson on 9-11?

I'm trying to understand it myself. From what our moronic leader is saying, it will be only owned by the Arab company. The US Port Authority will still do security and be in control of screening and all that. 'W' and crew are really pushing for this, saying that it's "racism" if we hold the Arab company to a different standard than the previous British owner. My problem is that the Arab company, as I understand it, will be actually owned by a government entity and they will have their people working at ports where only 6 percent of all incoming packages actually get inspected. As for 'W' and his "Racism" claim.... Probably true, but the time is not right. We still have 9/11, Yemen/USS Cole, Iraq, & Iran on our minds. I know that these Saudis aren't directly involved with that, but still. A very stupid idea and it speaks volumes on how out of touch 'W' and crew are with the American people...and how arrogant this administration is. Unfortunately Kerry probably wouldn't have been any better. Sad.

we are in serious trouble with this one-i mean he needs to be thrown out-he can say all he wants that they have looked into it-it dosen't matter we should have NOTHING to do with any arab affiliation regarding owning AMERICAN property-we supposedly were watching on 9-11-i am not racist in the least i just think that Americans as a whole will take this as a slap in the face-we already have let our guard down in so many ways-we should not invite trouble as this move will do-GOD HELP US ALL

Why does the TV news still say 6 ports, and talk radio is saying up to 21 ports, with options for more?
I don't get it,,, at all,,,,
This is our biggest security threat with 2, 3, or 4% (tops) of these containers being checked now.
Also, "WHAT IF"
this DPW runs these ports, it would be NOTHING for them to shut down the whole port, or all the ports they run, with a suitcase sized device. Our shipping in & out would be brought to it's knees. What would we do then???
you can't trust these countries.
most have had ties that we know of, what about the ties we don't know of?
IT'S TOO RISKY, WHY TAKE THE CHANCE?
AMERICAN COMPANIES SHOULD BE DOING THIS

Maybe this will be a wake up call to those few who are still supporting Dubya. He terrifies me. I'll be so glad when he is gone.
Kerry may not have been the best choice - but this is the worst shape we have been in as a country in a very long time.
'08 can't come soon enough for me.
