Hello All!
I am considering moving to this area, and I am researching commuter options. I work in DC near the Smithsonian. I have found that the Dillon's bus service 922 line would probably be the best option for me.
My question is, how crowded is this bus in the mornings and afternoons? Also, where exactly do they meet? The website says Rt 50 and Rt 8, I am just trying to find out where exactly the park and ride is.
Thank you in advance!!

The park and ride is right across the street from the KMart. I haven't used the commuter bus in years, so things may have changed, and I only used it for a week in order to take a class. Anyway, at the time there was plenty of room, and they ran a number of buses both in the morning and for return trips in the afternoon. It was cheap enough, and if one MUST go to DC everyday it would certainly beat driving it. That said, they could double my salary and I wouldn't work in DC, but that's just me.

Thank you for the reply. I live in Northern Virginia now and I love working downtown DC, but the traffic here (along with other reasons) have made me want to move. I am used to over an hour+ commute each way. Actually, I think that commuting from Kent Island every day on the Dillon bus would actually be shorter than my present commute (which involves the VRE).

The 922 busses are crowded very early - from 5am to 6:30, but you can alwats get a seat. The later buss at 7am is fairly empty until it hits Annapolis. It's a pretty good way to go.
