Dem. Sen. Reacts to Obama: 'Not Any Bridges in North Carolina in Danger of Falling’ (CNSnews.com) - Reacting to President Barack Obama’s statement last week that there were 153 “structurally deficient” bridges in North Carolina and that the government should not wait “until another bridge falls” to take action, Sen. Kay Hagan (D.-N.C.) insisted there are no bridges in her state in danger of falling. “No, no there are not any bridges in North Carolina in danger of falling,” Hagan said when CNSNews.com asked her about Obama’s statement about North Carolina’s “structurally deficient” bridges. cnsnews.com/news/article/dem-sen-reacts-obama-not-any-bridges-north-carolina-danger-falling

The Ranks of the Underemployed Continue to Grow In September, the number of underemployed workers rose for the third consecutive month! While the number of unemployed workers has held steady at around 14 million in recent months, another telling measure of frustration in the labor market—the number of underemployed individuals—rose for a third consecutive month in September, by almost a half of a million people. Almost 9.3 million Americans are considered underemployed, defined by the Bureau of Labor Statistics as working part-time for economic reasons, such as unfavorable business conditions or seasonal declines in demand. That's up from just over 8 million in July, but down from a peak of about 9.5 million in September 2010. In addition, about 2.5 million individuals are considered "marginally attached to the labor force," meaning they were not in the labor force, wanted and were available for work, and looked for a job sometime in the prior 12 months. (They are not counted as unemployed because they had not looked for a job in the past four weeks prior to the survey.) money.usnews.com/money/careers/articles/2011/10/19/the-ranks-of-the-underemployed-continue-to-grow#ixzz1bKd0fDQ4

This "President" really is an enormous hypocrite. Right along with this wife. History will reveal how beyond imagination this mess really is. Even 1 in 4 democrats want to dump him as their candidate. If they knew the truth, they would all apologize to America. Hypocrite? Which mess do you speak of? What truth? Please explain... Grabs popcorn.....

On a $4M Vacation, Michelle Seeks $3 From Backers Speaking from her paradisical $4 million Hawaii vacation, Mrs. Obama wants to know: Do any of President Obama’s supporters have $3 to spare for his reelection? This is approximately like coming upon Warren Buffett on a street corner with a McDonald’s cup asking if he can have 15 cents. Michelle’s request was part of an email sent to the Obama 2012 list today. Over the next 11 months we’ve got an organization to grow, voters to register, and people to get fired up. I hope you’ll close out this year by donating $3 or more now to help make sure we’re ready for the next one . . . Thank you so much, and happy new year, Michelle The obscene juxtaposition of the first lady on a $4 million vacation while asking what would have to be middle to low income earners for three bucks – who else would they be targeting with such an appeal? – is yet another example of lack of perspective the Obamas seem to be gaining while in power. Mrs. Obama takes extravagant vacations to Spain and southern Africa. The president golfs obsessively and is currently dining at Honolulu’s ritziest restaurants. All while asking their fellow Americans to “sacrifice” during this time of not plenty. www.whitehousedossier.com/2011/12/30/4m-vacation-michelle-seeks-3-backers/

On his radio show last night, Mark Levin said that President Barack Obama has caused a “constitutional crisis” by appointing members to the National Labor Relations Board and a director to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau without going through the constitutionally required Senate confirmation process.
“We have a constitutional crisis," Levin said. "It is in fact a constitutional crisis."
"The President of the United States is trashing the Constitution now day in and day out,” Levin said.
Sounds like it is time to impeach Obama. He is getting more brazen each day.

Core of Conviction Michele Bachmann is one of the most compelling leaders in America. But despite all the magazine covers and cable television stories, most people don’t know who she really is, where she comes from, or what she believes. So she decided to tell her own story and let the reader decide. Still laughing.....

I do not agree with everything Mark Levin posts. Bachman is not electable so no need to go on with her (and she dropped out). I do think Obama is thumbing his nose at the Constitution and noone is holding him accountable. I was wrong to call him a hypocrite. He is a liar and a socialist. No matter what statistics show how bad our economy, etc. is, he and the head of the Democratic party claim otherwise. That said, though I truly pray he is beaten in November, it is not looking good.

Double that order of FOIL! Homeland Security monitors journalists? Freedom of speech might allow journalists to get away with a lot in America, but the Department of Homeland Security is on the ready to make sure that the government is keeping dibs on who is saying what. Under the National Operations Center (NOC)’s Media Monitoring Initiative that came out of DHS headquarters in November, Washington has the written permission to retain data on users of social media and online networking platforms. Specifically, the DHS announced the NCO and its Office of Operations Coordination and Planning (OPS) can collect personal information from news anchors, journalists, reporters or anyone who may use “traditional and/or social media in real time to keep their audience situationally aware and informed.” According to the Department of Homeland Security’s own definition of personal identifiable information, or PII, such data could consist of any intellect “that permits the identity of an individual to be directly or indirectly inferred, including any information which is linked or linkable to that individual.” Previously established guidelines within the administration say that data could only be collected under authorization set forth by written code, but the new provisions in the NOC’s write-up means that any reporter, whether someone along the lines of Walter Cronkite or a budding blogger, can be victimized by the agency. Also included in the roster of those subjected to the spying are government officials, domestic or not, who make public statements, private sector employees that do the same and “persons known to have been involved in major crimes of Homeland Security interest,” which to itself opens up the possibilities even wider. The department says that they will only scour publically-made info available while retaining data, but it doesn’t help but raise suspicion as to why the government is going out of their way to spend time, money and resources on watching over those that helped bring news to the masses. The development out of the DHS comes at the same time that U.S. District Judge Liam O’Grady denied pleas from supporters of WikiLeaks who had tried to prevent account information pertaining to their Twitter accounts from being provided to federal prosecutors. Jacob Applebaum and others advocates of Julian Assange’s whistleblower site were fighting to keep the government from subpoenaing information on their personal accounts that were collected from Twitter. Last month the Boston Police Department and the Suffolk Massachusetts District Attorney subpoenaed Twitter over details pertaining to recent tweets involving the Occupy Boston protests. The website Fast Company reports that the intel collected by the Department of Homeland Security under the NOC Monitoring Initiative has been happening since as early as 2010 and the data is being shared with both private sector businesses and international third parties. rt.com/usa/news/homeland-security-journalists-monitoring-321/

CBO report says healthcare law could cause as many as 20M to lose coverage As many as 20 million Americans could lose their employer-provided coverage because of President Obama's healthcare reform law, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said in a new report Thursday. The figure represents the worst-case scenario, CBO says, and the law could just as well increase the number of people with employer-based coverage by 3 million in 2019. The best estimate, subject to a "tremendous amount of uncertainty," is that about 3 million to 5 million fewer people will obtain coverage through their employer each year from 2019 through 2022. thehill.com/blogs/healthwatch/health-reform-implementation/216223-cbo-millions-of-americans-could-lose-their-employer-coverage

Obama in Colombia: ‘Part of My Job Is to Scout Out Where I May Want to Bring Michelle Back Later for Vacation’ (CNSNews.com) - Just two days after President Barack Obama gave a sharply edged response to news anchor Larry Conners of KMOV in St. Louis after Conners had asked the president about Americans who “get frustrated and even angered when they see the first family jetting around [to] different vacations and so forth,” Obama told a panel at the Summit of the Americas in Cartagena, Colombia that part of his job there was to scout out locations for a future vacation with First Lady Michelle Obama. Obama was speaking on a panel with Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos and Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff when he made the remarks. The panel was moderated by Chris Matthews of MSNBC. “I want to thank President Santos and the people of Colombia for the extraordinary hospitality in the beautiful city of Cartagena,” said Obama. “We're having a wonderful time. And usually when I take these summit trips, part of my job is to scout out where I may want to bring Michelle back later for vacation. So we'll make sure to come back sometime in the near future.” cnsnews.com/news/article/obama-colombia-part-my-job-scout-out-where-i-may-want-bring-michelle-back-later

25 Horrible Statistics About The U.S. Economy That Barack Obama Does Not Want You To Know #1 The percentage of Americans that own homes is dropping rapidly. According to Gallup, the current level of homeownership in the United States is the lowest that Gallup has ever measured. #2 Home prices in the U.S. continue to fall like a rock as well. They have declined for six months in a row and are now down a total of 35 percent from the peak of the housing bubble. The last time that home prices in the United States were this low was back in 2002. #3 Last year, an astounding 53 percent of all U.S. college graduates under the age of 25 were either unemployed or underemployed. #4 Back in 2007, about 10 percent of all unemployed Americans had been out of work for 52 weeks or longer. Today, that number is above 30 percent. #5 When Barack Obama first became president, the number of "long-term unemployed workers" in the United States was 2.6 million. Today, it is 5.3 million. #6 The average duration of unemployment in the United States is about three times as long as it was back in the year 2000. #7 Despite what the mainstream media would have us to believe, the truth is that the percentage of working age Americans that are employed is not increasing. Back in March 2010, 58.5 percent of all working age Americans were employed. In March 2011, 58.5 percent of all working age Americans were employed. In March 2012, 58.5 percent of all working age Americans were employed. So how can Barack Obama and the mainstream media claim that the employment situation in the United States is getting better? The employment rate is still essentially exactly where it was when the last recession supposedly ended. #8 Back in 1950, more than 80 percent of all men in the United States had jobs. Today, less than 65 percent of all men in the United States have jobs. #9 In 1962, 28 percent of all jobs in America were manufacturing jobs. In 2011, only 9 percent of all jobs in America were manufacturing jobs. #10 In some areas of Detroit, Michigan you can buy a three bedroom home for just $500. #11 According to one recent survey, approximately one-third of all Americans are not paying their bills on time at this point. #12 Since Barack Obama entered the White House, the price of gasoline has risen by more than 100 percent. #13 The student loan debt bubble continues to expand at a very frightening pace. Recently it was announced that total student loan debt in the United States has passed the one trillion dollar mark. #14 Incredibly, one out of every four jobs in the United States pays $10 an hour or less at this point. #15 Household incomes all over the United States continue to fall. After adjusting for inflation, median household income in America has declined by 7.8 percent since December 2007. #16 Over the past several decades, government dependence has risen to unprecedented heights in the United States. The following is how I described the explosive growth of social welfare benefits in one recent article.... Back in 1960, social welfare benefits made up approximately 10 percent of all salaries and wages. In the year 2000, social welfare benefits made up approximately 21 percent of all salaries and wages. Today, social welfare benefits make up approximately 35 percent of all salaries and wages. #17 In November 2008, 30.8 million Americans were on food stamps. Today, more than 46 million Americans are on food stamps. #18 Right now, more than 25 percent of all American children are on food stamps. #19 According to the U.S. Census Bureau, today 49 percent of all Americans live in a home that receives some form of benefits from the federal government. #20 Over the next 75 years, Medicare is facing unfunded liabilities of more than 38 trillion dollars. That comes to $328,404 for each and every household in the United States. #21 During the first quarter of 2012, U.S. public debt rose by 359.1 billion dollars. U.S. GDP only rose by 142.4 billion dollars. #22 At this point, the U.S. national debt is rising by more than 2 million dollars every single minute. #23 The U.S. national debt has risen by more than 5 trillion dollars since the day that Barack Obama first took office. In a little more than 3 years Obama has added more to the national debt than the first 41 presidents combined. #24 The Federal Reserve bought up approximately 61 percent of all government debt issued by the U.S. Treasury Department during 2011. #25 The Federal Reserve continues to systematically destroy the value of the U.S. dollar. Since 1970, the U.S. dollar has lost more than 83 percent of its value. www.rightsidenews.info/2012043016144/editorial/us-opinion-and-editorial/25-horrible-statistics-about-the-us-economy-that-barack-obama-does-not-want-you-to-know.html?utm_source=Right+Side+News&utm_campaign=2dd0fa9a2d-daily-rss-newsletter&utm_medium=

Muslim! Author: Rev. Jeremiah Wright Says of Obama, “I made it Comfortable for Him to Accept Christianity without having to Renounce His Islamic Background” – Audio 5/15/12 Here is audio of Edward Klein, author of “The Amateur,” talking with Sean Hannity about his new book and his interview with Rev. Jeremiah Wright. Klein interviewed Wright for more than three hours for the book, and says he has much of it on tape. Among other things, he said Wright is “fulminating” at Obama for having “thrown him under the bus” back in 2008 when Wright’s “Godd*mn America” sermon came out. Klein reports that Wright told him that he could not say he “converted” Obama to Christianity, but that “I made it comfortable for him to accept Christianity without having to renounce his Islamic background.” freedomslighthouse.net/2012/05/15/author-rev-jeremiah-wright-says-of-obama-i-made-it-comfortable-for-him-to-accept-christianity-without-having-to-renounce-his-islamic-background-audio-51512/
