Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew if Atlantic Broadband provided faster Internet service than Verizion DSL. More specifically, is there an alternative to either with low latency ? Currently, we have the Verizon Internet. It is OK. However, I am getting speeds of 1.2Mb downloads but only 500K uploads. I would like to have a balanced connection with low latency. I am starting to have network issues if someone watches a netflix movie while someone is playing on-line games. Is there a better network provider on Kent Island ? I used the speakeasy speed tester here: www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/Could some others with Atlantic or other providers post their upload/download speeds ? Thanks.

AtlanticBB middle tier service.
Speed test to SpeakEasy Washington DC.
4.78M download / 490K upload at mid afternoon.
I've streamed from Netflix and didn't have any problems, though I haven't tried gaming at the same time.

Upload speeds are always going to be less due to the configuration of the networks.

Atlanticbb also has it's own speedtest which you all may already know. I check from multiple locations every now and then. It's speedtest.atlanticbb.net and it does vary sometimes. These do show the max speeds at the time given optimum conditions and low network traffic so I am sure there are quite a few other variables involved

Just ran the speed test three times on Atlantic Broad Band's website. I've got ABB's fastest internet package (54.99) and live in Marling Farms. Here's the actual speeds you might be able to expect during peak high traffic times. I never really have a problem with Xbox Live while my wife is using the computer.
