aol.sportingnews.com/mlb/story/2011-04-13/barry-bonds-verdict?icid=maing-grid7|main5|dl1|sec1_lnk3|55843Now...kiddos...let me get this straight...they CONVICTED him of obstruction of justice for LYING to a Grand Jury (or..PERJURING himself) BUT declared a MISTRIAL on the other three PERJURY charges because they couldn't decide if there was enough evidence to prove he had lied??? WTH? ? Don't get me wrong...I really don't care a bit about this Bonds guy...or baseball at all for that matter...never have been a fan. But the verdict makes ABSOLUTELY no sense at ALL. How can they convict someone of a "satellite" crime that they can't prove legally he committed??? Really?? It almost seems to me to be like convicting someone of invasion of privacy due to them peeping in a window...but they can't convict them of trespassing, because they can't prove he was there.

My guess is the idiot jurors knew he was guilty but didn't feel he really deserved the punishment he would have received for a perjury conviction. But, they had to do something, he couldn't just walk away. So they convicted him of obstruction and "couldn't decide" on the other charges.
Of course, what the idiots didn't realize is they most likely handed him all the evidence he needs to win an appeal of the obstruction charge.
Maybe there ought to be an IQ test for jurors.

Can we now leave it alone and stop wasting tons of taxpayers money on this stupid subject? We all know he took steriods, There are way more important things in the world the court system should be focusing on.
