Do you know how hard it is to find a 60s/70s era muscle/pony car with a manual transmission?
I hate automatics with a passion.

It's a sign of the times.. most drivers these days can't change lanes let alone shift a four speed..

Yeah, I learned when I bought my 08 Chevy that they don't put manual transmissions in 1/2 ton pickups any more...
Because the women and kids don't like them.... I was soppoing for a truck for ME I told the salesman.....

Well, there has been a "shift" lately.....manual transmissions are making a comeback, especially among younger new cars buyers that tend to purchase small cars. The reason, manual transmission cars are cheaper and usually get better fuel mileage. As for buying a 60's/70's muslce cars as bchevy said, the conversion isn't that hard. I'm a mustang guy, you can easily buy a new complete conversion kit to do the switch or you can save even more money by buying a used T-5 out of a newer wrecked mustang. Research the total cost to convert and consider that when purchasing a good muscle car find or plain jane car. Swapping in later model engines, transmissions, brakes, etc. to enjoy your car more, really isn't that difficult as it used to be. The resources and tools are out there...just don't be that guy that converts their car and then goes one step further by adding stripes or badges and starts claiming it's a real Shelby, a GTO, a Super Bee, a Talladega, a Yenko and on and on. It isn't right and it bugs me when guys do that.....just saying. Here's an link for Ford swaps. www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2000/09/t5swap/index.php

6 speed in a 69 camaro... very nice.. But when I convert the car over to boost, I'm thinking about a auto.. We will see.
