I just moved here and would like some info on good places to eat, good night spots, and short cuts around town. Anyone willing to help me?

What kinds of places are you looking for?
Restaurants that I've tried or heard were good: Ruth's Chris, Castlebay, Joss' (GREAT), Galway Bay, Harry Browne's, Cafe Normandie, Ram's Head, Griffin's, Indian place and Thai place on West St, Mexican place across from Ram's Head.
A little farther out: Killarney House, Yellowfin, Copeland's, Melting Pot, Adam's Ribs, Northwoods.
Night spots: we go to Annapolis for that. Several around that area including Ram's Head, Sean Donlan's, Galway Bay, and Griffin's

Hey falgar25 - I probably know you! I haunt all of those places, especially Castle Bay on Friday nights!
I agree on all counts.
Sushi: Joss & Nano on Main St are great. Mexican: The place across from Ram's Head is good, but try the Mexican Cafe' on Bay Ridge Rd. Dumpy, but really good. Pub Grub: McGarvey's downtown for crab ip and clams, etc. Riordann's for sandwiches, and Armadillos for tex-mex wraps. Beer: Ram's Head for microbrews and Heroes on Riverview Ave for over 40 beers on tap. Date Place Eats: Aqua-Terra on Main st for unique menu, Melting Pot for fondu and wind, and Dominica's on Rte 2 in Annapolis for Italian and live jazz. Outdoor Bars: Metro on West St for the rooftop bar, Sly Fox on Church Circle, and Pusser's downtown (in the Marriott) for bay views. Chinese: The Hunan in the "Festival at Riva" (Giant shooping ctr) for exceptional Chinese. Thai: Viet-Thai on Riva Rd & Harry Truman Pkwy (Behind CVS) for great Thai and Vietnamese. Ribs : Adam's Rib can't be beat. In Eastport and Mayo. Pizza: Mama Lucia's by Circuit City on Jennifer Rd for NY pizza. Crab House: Mike's Crab House on Riva Rd or Cantler's across the river from the USNA.
Fun pubs are definately Sean Donlon's, Armadillos, Castle Bay, Ram's Head, McGarvey's, Heroes, Galway Bay, O'Loughlan's and Davis Pub.
Hope this helps. Just my $0.02

Try Peche's on upper West Street for great Italian and Heroes for happy hour. My two favorite places hands down.

Sean Donlon's for Irish music is always a blast. Heroes is a cool bar with a great selection (try the "Ressurrection Ale" - but be careful, it's potent!), downtown I like McGarvey's and Armadillos. O'Brians is the place to go if you want to dance - but it's a very young crowd. Go exploring, take a pub crawl when they come up, you'll have a great time.

My favorite restaurants in Annapolis are Aromi d'Italia (I love their sandwiches and gelato!) and the Lebanese Taverna (their shawarmas are really good).

How old are you and what are your interests? There is a lot going on in Nap Town depending on what you are into.
