Today its my sympathy, tomorrow it will be my tax dollars all because you made a bad decision. What else did you screw up that you need someone else to fix for you? I can fix your problem and limit growth on Kent Island too! Condemn all the homes who cant hold their own water. Eminent Domain the public health risk. Problem solved. I didn't have to run expensive sewer lines, I didn't have to expanpd route 8, I didn't have to build new schools for the sewer related growth. Im getting tired of you putting this on everyone else. You interject this issue in every topic on this board. You insult yourself more than I could ever dream up:: From above written by you, Who in their right mind wants to deal with septic tanks.. Evidently YOU DO! You bought it, now pump it or pay for a holding tank. Heck, you even think the quote about 6 pounds of crap in a 5 lb bag is funny, Hello, that is your house you are laughing about. But Im the bad guy for not giving you a shoulder to cry on? I don't think so. Lainey, I agree with you 100%. My bet is it will turn out exactly as you describe. Not! Keep ranting! I figure Lainey is closer to the facts here... JB, are you the only one allowed to rant?

Well, the Bay Times is reporting that we, the taxpayers of Queen Anne's County will be funding yet another study on JackBQuicks favorite topic, SKI sewer.
Im sure glad he told us all it wont cost any of us a penny if we don't live down there. They are studying STEP systems this time and from the quotes in the article, Dave Olds doesn't agree with any improvements at all.
From the article, Commissioner Dave Olds wondered aloud if the county should even be considering an extension of the sewer line, citing potential congestion at the Kent Narrows, Stevensville & Grasonville Wastewater Treatment Plant.
“I don’t understand ... (why) we’re even entertaining this,” said Olds. “I think we’re going to kill Route 8 if we do this is all I’m saying, I don’t give a d**n whose system you use.
“Who is going to pay for it how (and) much is it going to cost?” he added. “I know that’s in there. Maybe it’s time for this thing to come to a head.”

Thanks for forcing my tax dollars to rise for your sewer line. Not true of course but I will entertain bumb logic.

Lainey... the county has been using "OUR" tax dollars to study this matter to death at the expense of the tax payer. This has been a decades long issue created and mismanaged by the county, which if it had been acted upon back in the 80s, would be nothing but a blip on the radar today. The county allowed homes to be built in areas which did not comply with the state septic field requirements which are being enforced now. ( the wonderful "holding tank" policy ).
When all is said and done, the current property owners are caught holding the bag either way. Through no fault of their own, other than buying a home in an area they desire to live, mother nature conspires against them. The solutions are not popular by any means and is being convoluted by misstated facts and other information to the confusion of all.
By the way, David Olds has always opposed the sewer project, nothing new there and he has his "escape" plan when it comes!!
