Got to love the not-even-reading-your-own-article.
He didnt oppose aid for Sandy. He opposed additions to the sandy-relief bill that had nothing to do with the disaster. Typical democrat move. Add unrelated BS to otherwise "must pass" legislation, and then call out Republicans as evil or hypocrits for not supporting it.
I can't believe people still fall for this trick (no, that isn't true. I know why people still fall for it)

I did read the article. I guess you think Sandy only took place within the New Jersey state lines?

I guess you missed this part
"The Sandy relief bill initially contained money for projects outside of areas damaged by Sandy"
Note that they said "outside of areas damaged by Sandy", not "outside of New Jersey".

And I guess you missed this part:
"That spending represented a small portion of the massive bill - and much of it eventually was dropped from the legislation after objections by Republicans in the House."

If they come up with an aid bill it will likely have the same types of additions that the sandy bill had. We shall see.

And none of the excess should be there. If it doesn't pass, blame the people who put it there, not the ones who oppose it.

I remember watching some of the debate on the Senate Floor (CSPAN) during the whole "Sandy Relief Bill" and the politicization of same...blah, blah, blah...they were looking for money for fisheries in Alaska and as I recall, money for LA and A TON OF OTHER TACKED-ON Federal dollars - all "considered" to be relief from some storm or flood or other calamity... I finally stopped watching! If it's a relief Bill, then it should be just that and nothing more. I believe if there is merit for FEDERAL dollars (our money) to go somewhere else, then write a separate bill, get co-sponsors, argue the bill on the floor and see if it passes. For the love of GOD...didn't most of us who participated in SGA learn this in the 8th grade?
