Ok, I will be the first to dive into this. How great to see that after all the media bias, the DOJ interfering, withholding of evidence, political pressure, "community activists" staging protests and rallies (domestic terrorists) and other 'bamaites weighing in on every level of government and social media outlets, justice was served and a man could use his most basic right in this Country to defend himself from being a victim of more bodily harm or even death. Just enough to give me faith in this system again. Unfortunately, somehow he is still the monster and they will try him on anything and everything else unconstitutional as a form of double jeopardy because all those libs didn't get their way. Notice I didn't say anything about this being a race issue? That would just play into their agenda to turn up the heat on this dead horse.

I don't think so! Why would you carry a gun on a neighborhood watch? I believe in the 2nd amendment but the neighborhood watch is a watch. Look and report, get all the information you can and give it to police. It is sad that zimmerman couldn't just take a butt whipping. The head wounds were minor I didn't see stiches. Small cuts on the head will bleed alot. To me I think zimmerman was just looking for a reason to use his gun and be a hero. Should of been a man and just took a butt whipping.

www.ijreview.com/2013/07/65527-in-513-days-between-trayvon-shooting-and-zimmerman-verdict-11106-blacks-murdered-by-other-blacks/Where's the outrage? Where's Jessie Jasckson, Louis Farrakhon? Why isn't the DOJ arranging proetests over this? Why isn't Obama involved? Why are people not as upset about this? Had Zimmerman been a black man, none of us would have ever heard of Trayvon Martin. This whole trial was a joke. Both has a hand in the blame. Trayvon came up short, but it could have gone either way. Protesters are holding signs that say 'I am Trayvon". Trayvon was caught with jewelry from one of the home robberies a week before he was shot. He was no alterboy as portrayed by the media.

I'm not sure what you are asking. What is the relevance of where he lives? Are people in Florida not allowed to carry guns? If I was on a neighborhood watch because homes were getting broken into, I would be carrying a gun too. Do you think that thought went through Zimmerman's head as it was pounding the pavement? Just sayin, we will probably never know what really happened that night, but based on the evidence (or lack of) the jury made the right call.

Probably the right call, but definitely an unfortunate situation with enough blame to go around. You ask what went through Zimmerman's head as it was pounding on the pavement. Has anyone considered what went through Martin's head as he saw or heard someone following him through the neighborhood? Did he feel he was standing his ground and defending himself at that moment? I don't know, I just wonder. Or, what was going through Zimmerman's head when he was told not to follow Martin but chose to anyway? How would this situation have come out differently if he had left the police work to the police? We'll never know. Probably the right call given the events that occurred, but totally unnecessary if only either person had made different decisions that night.

If you have ever been to Sanford, FL... you would understand why he was packing. On a whim a friend and I moved there when we were 19, I mean it is Florida right, the sunshine state, must be a great place to live... not so much. There is a reason most of the communities down there are fenced/gated.

I agree falgar. They both share some of the blame. The jurors said they wanted to charge Zimmerman with something, but none of the charges fit the situation. No charges were filed for being stupid or overzelous. Unfortunately, Trayvon doesn't get to wake up today and try to reconstruct his life. He may have been a young thug, but he didn't deserve to die.
