New Kent Island Sign? As you cross the bridge it reads:
Welcome to Kent Island. We are glad to have you as a new resident. You are not the first person to call Kent Island home and you certainly will not be the last. Like most others who live here, you most likely chose to make Kent Island your home because of the affordable housing choices, close access to the Chesapeake, and within a reasonable commute to a metropolis. If you are old, you might want to wait till the 4 seasons is built. If you are young, you might want to wait till they build out Lowery’s farm. The existing stores are not the greatest but hopefully they will improve over time. I understand you want to be the last person to cross the bridge but Kent Island is such a desirable location that others are going to follow and be prepared for things to change. Oh and we actually have two MCD's. Be careful at the traffic circle because it is a traffic disaster in the making. Lastly, do not buy on SKI because the septic fields do not work!

That's going to cause some traffic issues for people stopping to read it.

Correction, it should say Welcome to Stevensville / Chester. Since those are the city names.

I need to add, if you use the beaches you need to clean up your waste. Both kinds!

Who left the back door at the asylum unlocked? I guess the Moderators who do not like when others on this site disagree with them.

Sounds more to me like no one is allowed to question you, or doubt you. If you don't like something it's "BS" or you just call out a moderator for the wildcard blame. I don't have the care that it would take to disagree with you.

And if you are the head of the CBF turn around and mind your own business.

It is their business. Very much so. I totally disagree with you. Sorry. Go fight people polluting the bay. This builder is following all the rules and has even adopted all the new regulations. This area is in the PFA and growth area and only 6% of the county has that designation. It was Maryland's idea to concentrate development into the growth corridor.

Explain how Osprey Pointe got approved and past the CBF given its location. Right on the water with hardly any clearance between the homes and the shoreline. Yet, folks are fighting Four Seasons which will have open spaces and plenty of separation between home and shores.

What if there is no sign with any name on it? ?? Maybe if people dont know where this is they wont try to move here? ? Simplistic concept I guess huh?? Sorry. I just get tired of hearing the same thing over & over. You dont want people to move here but you want bigger businesses so people have some place great to shop. You dont want more people but you want more restaurants to get more business. You dont want increased traffic yet all the new businesses go on the highway so they will draw customers. Seems like folks need to decide what they want. Granted most of us moved here because it was away from all the insanity. Well growth has followed & now its time to either move again to nowhere land or develope this land to accommodate the needs of the people here.

Sharon.. it can be done, planned properly and smartly to satisfy all. Problem is there is a small, vocal and powerful minority which makes it tough for any forward movement on KI, let alone QAC.

Actually I think it is the capacity issue of an I-S-L-A-N-D and the traffic that makes it impossible for "forward movement" on Kent Island.

No. If that were true, Manhattan would have a lot less people. Kent Island is the urban population center of QAC for a reason. The only other place I can think of that can handle the growth if not on KI would be Claiborne.
