Hopefully the whole inside will be redone. It needed a refresh as far as seating

This thread does make me smile at the incredible loyalty some people have to a professional sports team that has no loyalty to them.. I grew up in Western PA so always a Steelers fan, but have been in MD for 50 years so also a Ravens fan.. until they play each other and I have to cheer for the Alma Mater! But, regardless of team or Ravens Nest, I go where the food and service is good! Back to the Pour House.. seems to me the issue with the place has always been space.. kind of a small venue.. Just never felt comfortable in the place. ?? One of the things my bride has said to me in the past and I have learned to agree with her regardless of what she says.. .. is a horseshoe shaped bar is a lot more pleasant than a bar facing a wall of mirrors and liquor bottles. If the bartender is not good looking or friendly, there ain't much going on..

Glad to see a new business coming to Kent Island. We frequented Shells Yes and are anxious to see the new Pub!

A group of is from the Marina had lunch at Rustico the other day and Michelina stated that the Pour House is entirely her EX's project.

Yesterday the workers there told me about 2 weeks to opening. IMHO if they can: 1. Serve a decent burger 2. Serve a decent crabcake 3. Serve beer 4. Actually be open when the sign says they should be 5. Not let food and service slide downhill
they will do well.

I can accept almost anything when the waiter/waitress is courteous, friendly, and doesn't lie to me.

If there's anyone that can make that location work, it would be the people involved. It's a tough spot, and the one-way-in-one-way-out thing doesn't exactly encourage the dating crowd, though.

This is why people don't like the Ravens because you guys are uneducated football fans!! Why can't people go to a place to enjoy the bar and drink beer!! Hopefully the bar won't have an elevator for RAY RICE!!! I'm from Baltimore and I am embarrassed by all you ravens fans! Keep it classy Baltimore

Wow, wonderful and informative first post j1507!
But anyway I hope this place succeeds. It's a tough spot, relies nearly 100% on locals. But I'll give 'em a try.

I stopped in yesterday for a beer only, here are my observations. There are too many bar stools in the bar area, it was not bad when there were just a row of stools against the bar but they have added a row against the divider which makes it VERY tight. I think it would be nice if they could move the divider about 2 feet into the dining area. Happy hour is $1 off all draught beer and all apps except the house fries are $7, the fries remain $5. I overheard someone grumbling about the bottles of Miller Lite not being on happy hour, but who drinks bottles when draught is available? The floors look nice and the ceiling has been pulled down to an exposed rafter look. The walk to the bathrooms has a feel that you are going backstage, but that is what they have to work with. The men's room has not been updated much from the Shells era.
One thing I did not ask was if the HH was at the tables as well. I hope so since the bar is so tight. Next time we will try the food.

That is good news. All except for the part about the bottles not being on happy hour. Who drinks domestic draft when there are bottles available?

Do they have multiple TV's around the bar that are easily viewed? With the ncaa tournament coming up, spring ball around the corner, and NFL in the fall this is a huge item for me personally.

Went there last night for the first time. Waitress was not very confident and wasn't able to give good recommendations/suggestions. We took our kids (it was early in the evening) but there was no kids menu so we had to order dinner for our 7 and 4 year old off the adult menu. That was slightly disappointing. Our food, however, was exceptional. Burger was under cooked but seasoned perfectly. Kids enjoyed their food too!
