Does anyone have any recommendations for a transmission shop on the island or any place I should stay away from?
Thanks.

I use Williards in Grasonville - Last year the shift linkage in my Jetta snapped and all the transmission shops said the whole tranny needed to be replaced. Williards was able to fix the linkage and saved me a bunch of money.

We just replaced our transmission with Harrisons Transmissions in Easton. They had the best warranty on the replacement.

Willards in Grasonville has always been very fair.
I have also had good, but limited, experience with the new shop on Pier One Road, that repalced Ace Allen's garage.

We just replaced our transmission with Harrisons Transmissions in Easton. They had the best warranty on the replacement. I took a truck there for them to asses the transmission. After a road test, diagnostic scan and visual inspection of the transmission I was told it was going to be around 2k parts/ labor to repair. I took truck home and was looking at the transmission myself trying to decide if I should tackle it myself to save some coin...wound up finding the only thing wrong was that a wiring harness had come unplugged from the transmission. Plugged it in and I've been rolling along with zero issues for the last 140k miles. I'd like to think it was an honest mistake on their part, but...
