Funny how BCHEVY and Deputy come out of the woodwork at the same time after not posting for so long being that they are global moderators. Same person? Yep! Good luck with that one..... You've tried that before... Nice to see you're tracking my posts- OCD much? I've never been in the woodwork to have a need to come out of it. it's just when so many stupid & false statements are made it's hard to hold back. If there has ever been a stupid statement that tops the list it is that speculators will make monies from sewer. Duh! What a genius statement. Expect nothing less from a socialist!

At this juncture, any comments or discussions here about the SKI Sewer project will not change a thing. The state and QAC worked together to do what they did to put the project into action. As with anything, courts become involved because there is always someone who feels they've been wronged. All we can do is sit and watch the fireworks as I am certain the very same thing happened when Bay City and Cloverfields got their sewer.
Commissioner Anderson said it best: (paraphrasing) "It is up to the residents of SKI to decide what is best for them and not the rest of the county. THEY are paying for this project, not the county tax payers." "nuff said!
Enjoy your "discussions" as I have nothing more to add at this point.

Actually for those of us in Cloverfields there was nothing like what has occurred with Southern Kent Island. There was full build out and everyone loves our community. The only lot consolidation was the homeowners were allowed to combine lines administratively to avoid having to pay an additional sewer bill if they owned two or three lots. Everyone loves it here and it's the best run association on the island. We respect one another and we didn't and don't try to make homeowners winners and lot owners villains. Those SKI homeowners who drove the anti-growth movement and corrupted the Public Works Department cost me and all homeowners in Cloverfields and Bay City money. And this State grant using my tax dollars is an affront to all us homeowners connected to sewer in Queen Anne's County. And yes, the homeowners will make a "windfall". Their homes don't have the values they once had because everyone on this side of the bridge and anyone coming to Queen Anne's County knows to stay away from Southern Kent Island because of the failing septic systems. Kind of like the stock market tanking. Yep the homeowners on SKI just made bad investments, and hurt themselves by fighting having sewer. Once sewer comes in and the houses connect the home values will rise dramatically. Taxpayers shouldn't have to bail out the SKI homeowners with "grant" money. The only ones who think that's a good idea are the ones who live down there.

How un-American to make a profit! Maybe speculator is not the word for the homeowners. Maybe the word is Villain because they might come out ahead with their investment. Just like those profiteers in Atlas Shrugged. From this day forward I am requesting the Commissioners implement the Fair Share Law for all property owners. All profits will be evenly shared! Quinn should share his profits with everyone. Oh wait he will by paying capital gains taxes, impact fees, benefit assessments, to keep the costs down for homeowners like myself, ongoing increased property taxes, lower cost housing opportunities.

author=" deputy" timestamp="1422624999"]twist, attack, twist, attack. it's amazing how you pick parts of what is said and ignore the rest, the key here is making profits at the expense of others, other taxpayers, other homeowners. You are truly a piece of... work, yeah, that's it, piece of work. I have never trashed anyone anywhere for making a profit. just don't do it on my back. Too bad you can't figure out the quotes
NO NO NO lot owner is making a profit off the backs of taxpayers! Period! End of story! Sewer is going to be installed with or without lot owners. Lot owners have nothing to do with resolving the public health issue created by existing homeowners septic failures. Unless you become head of MDE, Maryland Department of Health or QAC Department of Health, you have no say. The public health issue is a result of existing homes. Not lots. When sewer arrives, some lot owners will make a profit. SO WHAT. STOP BASHING LOT OWNERS AND SAYING IT IS THEIR FAULT AND MAKING PROFITS ON THE BACKS OF TAXPAYERS! It is so anti-American it makes me want to puke! If Quinn wins, it is because he is by law allowed (The building block of our constitution which is Property Rights!)to connect to a public utility that should be available to All. Just like roads. Everyone can use them.
Commissioners voted unanimously to move forward with the engineering design for the SKI sewer line. If you happen to know any of them, please take a second to say thank you if you want an alternative to holding tanks!
