The 3 car accident yesterday afternoon on Rte 50 at the Wawa that claimed the life of an elderly woman was because two jackasses from Queenstown were doped up on heroin and crossed the line on the access road while speeding. You have to be a total imbecile if you are doing heroin. I know the people across the country are telling us that it's an "epidemic", but it's not something that is involuntarily caught by an innocent person. It is a conscious decision by a person to do an illegal and harmful substance. It is all over the news and has been for many years - People die from this. Many famous people over the years have died from this. So to decide to do heroin, you are an idiot. Rather than treating users as victims, we should be going after them and going after parents of teens that are doing this too. Clearly people aren't being taught at home and the parents need to take responsibility. Maybe after enough of the law is thrown at the right people, these dolts will reconsider buying an illegal substance and using it. It's not an epidemic, it's a bunch of stupid people getting high.

While I don't really understand why people get involved in drugs like this, not all of them are "stupid". I think that most people just don't know what to do about this.

What bothers me is that law enforcement carries narcan with them but not epi-pens.

Couldn't agree more. If you're putting that crap in your body, you're stupid. And I do not buy the line "Oh, it's a disease." It's not a disease. It's a choice one makes.

I disagree. They all ARE stupid. Many of their parents should also be held accountable. OPEN you eyes parents.

I' do believe it is stupid especially with all the education out there where people can see what it does to the user and their families. I do, however, disagree with gymmember in that the parents should be held accountable. You can teach your kids from right from wrong and tell them what you expect from them but there is no way in hell that one can watch their kids 24/7. You have to hope and trust your kids will stay away from that crap and do the right thing. I have 3 kids with the youngest being 19. I'm not strict by any stretch but have been fortunate thus far in that my kids have not been "Stupid"
