I know that there are leagues for 40 and older for softball at one of our 3000 fields in the county, but are there any coed leagues (preferably for this fall) for any age over 18?? I've talked to several people who want to join one but I can't seem to find any information for them on it. I've checked the parks and rec site and it wasn't much help. If there isn't one already, would anybody else be interested in trying to start one? Thanks in advance, Rudy Hayes

ABSOLUTELY! I've been trying to find one for a while now. I wonder if we could get one going through the parks and recs? I know theres got to be enough guys to get a league going.

I've been looking for this on KI as well. We moved here a year ago and thought for sure they'd have one here. I couldn't find one. I'd love to see one get started!!!

If you want to get something like this started - pick a place and time (maybe Love Point Park or the HS) and I'll do what I can on here to promote it. I can add to to the "Events" page and I can add another Forum area called "Local Groups and Clubs" or something like that for baseball, book clubs, car clubs, etc to plan things. Let me know....

I'd definitely be interested also. Been here for 5 years and haven't heard of any teams/league on this side of the bridge. I would have thought that the Knights of Columbus, VFW, etc., would have had something - I used to play with K of C in College Park before moving here.

I can't hit the broad side of a barn with a machine gun, but I offer extensive left field comedy relief!!!

Moved to KI this year... Need to find a softball team - not coed preferably. 38yr old - played adult baseball and softball for over 25 years.

My significant other would LOVE to play softball. He is 36 and has played softball in the old Kent Island under 40 league. If anything gets going, he would defiantly be there! We would be very interested.

It sounds like someone has to get everyone who's interested together to plan this - Pick a time / place (maybe Luke's on a slow night like Tuesday) and make some plans for the Spring.
Who's in - and what day / date / time works for everyone?

We have 8 teams that play on Tuesday and Thursday nights at Route 18 park in Centreville over the summer time. Pretty competitive softball. The league starts around June. Single games @ 6pm or 8pm.
For more information about the summer league, call Centreville Liquors and ask for Wally, the league commissioner.
As far as fall leagues, Bachman park (AACo) and Schutte park (Dover, De) are the only two 'local' leagues (I know of) that have fall ball. Although, there was a league I believe that played behind the Moose lodge in Easton, but am unsure of the specifics. We just finished the AAco and Dover leagues in late October.

I'd really like to get on an under 40 team. But first, I'd have to get back to being under 40 - can anyone here help with that?

The team you are talking about can have members OVER 40 right? As long as they are also OVER 21? Just making sure I understand the particulars
