So did anyone watch the Ravens vs. Bengals game saturday afternoon. The defense for the ravens were extremely impressive, stopping the Bengals on two fourth and short conversions. Then Joe Flacco came out and played like a seasoned veteran. Especially his 38 yard rush for a TD. Maybe things are turning around for this team...

Big ravens fan.. I didnt see it but listened to it.. keep in my mind the bengals are horrible. not many nfl team would have fallen for a double reverse.
I did like the offense of line play, and that joe flacco didnt take any credit for the win in his interview. He pointed to the offense of line as the game winners. Its nice to see someone without a huge ego for a change on the ravens team

Like I said in the other Ravens Thread...
They looked good Sunday, but I am not jumping on the YAY! band wagon yet, it is early, the Bengals suck, as do the Texans next week. If they keep it up, then we will see, people can't get their hopes up after ONE game, because people get their hopes up, get on the Bandwagon, and then they lose.. they jump off and hate the Ravens.
So yes, I look forward to this season.. I am a fan.. win or lose.

I was there as I always am, section 142. Big win. Like I said, Flacco showed me more in one game than Boller has shown me in six years. RB/FB very impressive. Defense was incredible. Heap should be released.

My husband was there, I was watching it from home. Great game! Flacco was finally looking comfortable and well, the defense...just plain ol' rocked. The Bengals have beaten us 6 out of the last 7 games...so, I don't necessarily agree that they suck. If they do...it doesn't say much for us, now does it? We just showed up to win Sunday and that's what we did. I think Harbaugh might finally allow our offense to BE our offense. It was nice to see them look so enthusiastic out there!
Release Heap? Not just yet...the guy was out most of the year last year with a knee injury and then didn't play much in pre-season...he's a little stiff, yes, his performance wasn't "old Heap", but he's NOT the "old Heap"....it was just the first game and he needs to find his rhythm again. He did have a rough day out there, I will agree. But, c'mon guys stop being so eager to jump on the negative nelly wagon about him. Dude had one bad day "at the office"....as I know we all have had...and we STILL won. Dang...
I have a feeling he's going to get better that I hope I can justify in the near future.

Ok - I am so not a Ravens fan - but I love football & just plain ole' love the game period the end....
this being said (i don't want anyone to think I'm jumping on the bandwagon) - How Flacco gave credit to the line & didn't really take any - shows me that he is a stand up guy & is playing the game because he loves it too... now can that change eventuallY? sure... but I don't think so - he definitely got my kudos...

Flacco showed great poise and demeanor out there Sunday. The numbers will come but it's clear to me he has a head for the game, something Boller and company never had. It's good to see a U of Delaware boy do good too.
Who can name me the other former NFL quarterback from Delaware???

well, as i've said before, the steelers and bills are my #1 teams, and i root for the ravens and the skins when i can. so i rooted for the ravens (tho i was on the road and couldn't watch, but we recorded it), but i rooted for pittsburgh and will do so next week. if the ravens come out on top, i'll root for them in the super bowl. they looked good! (and so did the steelers!).

Trying to decide whether to go to a watering hole to watch the game on Sunday.. There's something about the excitement of being with the masses.
Any places doing a good Ravens party? How about a sea of purple descending on "No Place" to mix it up with the steelers crowd.
